Well first the Good news - Dinner for Fifty, the next Gaby chapter is now up for your reading delight!

I'm also chugging away at book 25 but its hard going, there being several separate threads running it's taking time to ensure they roll together in some sort of cohesive fashion.

And I think the deity upstairs was listening to my complaints - we've had some dry weather this week and for the Solstice it looks excellent on the forecasts. There's always something special about camping around the this time of year - generally trench foot and frostbite!

And so to the Bad news. Well its not really bad or anything but it might be a bit disappointing for avid Gabyfen. So what is this news? well there won't be a Sunday posting this week, instead i'll be living the high life (I wish*) in Eboracum, otherwise known as Jorvik for the velocipede gathering taking place at the equine sport field. Things will be back to normal next week.

* i'll be camping and dining on dried rations!

The weekend will involve plenty of cycling, a visit to the GC, maybe curry, almost certainly chips, possibly beer, telling of tales and mobile toilets. Who said writers don't live glamorous lives?
