Looking for a place to springboard ideas, and not limited to tg related items. As much as I like the community there are stories that I would like to discuss but also afraid of sharing. Why? Because its could lead others to snatch the one doing the work to later snatch the idea itself. No I'm not suggesting all, but like many of the stories posted and then published by some other...well you get the idea.

Its one of those fears many writers have while working to formulate, solidify and then produce a story. Why writers are sometimes secretive about plot due to fear of others taking over an idea/plot for their own. I'm sure a lot have been there.

But if any know of such a place as a start I would appreciate it.

Oh and using the forum here is out. I'm afraid I've found it not so friendly in use and honestly there are the pitfalls of using one. Sooner or later it becomes a burden to keep track of. There is no set structure once started in a thread or if tried it becomes a wasteland of useless drivel. I have no hard feelings towards BC's but have found not many to use it as it seems so unwheeling when trying to find things.

Your choice really.

I once found one of my stories on an XXX paysite after using Google to search for it. I complained, and I don't see it anymore but that does not mean it is not there.

Perhaps concern for having your ideas taken is a sort of universal paranoia that most writers have? It is why I am very careful about where I save unfinished stories.

Stealing ideas

I have so many unwritten ideas that I would be glad to give some away.

And I'm not the only one. I believe Bek D Corbin posted a bunch of 'free to a good home' plot ideas.

A writer who doesn't have plenty of ideas?

I can't imagine that. I have always had hundreds of times more ideas than I am able to develop. Can't speak for the others, but why should I be afraid that someone will steal one or two of those?

Possily misunderstanding

I think many are misunderstanding what I'm saying in the beginning. There are not that many writing sites that I'm aware of that touch on the subject of magical transformations. Or I may just be older now. But my point was not about having ideas. But of having ideas that leaned towards TG. Also the other point (to clarify) is one of working on an outline and then find that someone has gone an taken it and made it their own.

No easy answer

Problem is that on any site where story ideas are discussed there is always the danger,of someone taking an Idea as their own,, especially if no specific details are given,it must be especially difficult, on the free story sites,at least ib12us stories are unique, and don't follow the normal troupe for the site, but because they are so good,it also means that unscrupulous people would be tempted to change a few details and pass them off as their own work,I suppose all you can do is keep full records,to show dates and the outline
