Ok, so not too long ago I made a post on here talking about my struggles i’ve been going through. Since then I’ve built my confidence back up and am doing a lot better. I have some very weird children, they HATE meat. But will eat more fruits and vegetables than I can. I’ve actually given up trying to get them to eat meat and have started giving them other foods to compensate for the lack of vitamins from them not eating meat. They also take vitamins twice a day to supplement their diet. I pack their lunches so that they don’t have to worry about the school forcing them to eat things that they won’t eat. The school initially didn’t agree with them being vegan and wouldn’t let them eat at all(until the nurse came out and supported my decision because she’s also vegan.) but they backed down once they were better informed on why the decision was made. I personally haven’t gone vegan but I will eat all of what my kids eat if I have to. I love fish too much to give that up.

I’m continuing to work on the Unknown to All sequel and it’s coming along quite nicely. I hope to have it posted sometime in the next week or so.

Weird - I've only known one

Weird - I've only known one person to go vegan early, and that wasn't by choice. At least you're aware of the limitations of that kind of diet, especially for growing children, and trying to work around them.

Is it -all- meat type proteins, or just the main turkey/beef/chicken/pork? (Cheese? Milk? Eggs?)

I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.

They can’t have

Dairy because they’re Lactose Intolerant. They will eat eggs but they prefer not to eat them. It’s all meat that they won’t eat. They don’t like the texture and taste no matter what I’ve tried.

Wow. Generally, lactose

Wow. Generally, lactose intolerance doesn't appear until post-puberty. (Lactose tolerance after puberty is a mutation, most species lose the tolerance when they become adults) I was allergic to milk for a while; it can be similar to lactose intolerance, just with less explosive diarrhea. (Goats milk can help there)

Hm. That leaves out lamb and goat, then. So, if we could just make turkey taste like tofu....

On the eggs - maybe find one of the various pastry recipes that's very egg-heavy? I figure you've tried all the various fish.

I can't bring myself to go vegitarian or vegan

The protein requirement remains the same whether vegan or carnivorous. When eating meat, protein is easy to come by. No so easy when choosing to forgo meat, especially when dairy is included in that. That and even with as expensive as meat is, eating a protein rich diet of vegetables is even more expensive plus getting the balance necessary to get the protein is nearly a full time job.

Beyond that, I'm a steak and potatoes kind of person anyway.

Second that, Pat. Although I

Second that, Pat. Although I'm more of a chicken and fish person.
