So, I decided to redo the cover for High Heels in a Minefield. Why? Author's prerogative. That and lately the previous cover just didn't quite feel right to me for some reason, like the character image on it didn't really feel like it matched the one in the book. So, I whipped up a new one. So if you're either browsing through my offerings or have already downloaded the book and suddenly notice it has a completely different cover, don't worry, you're still perfectly sane.

Edit November 10, 2018:

So, a few people have commented about how much they liked the first cover of the book. The reasons why I decided to move on from that cover so long ago are for two specific reasons.

Reason one, while I know the title is High Heels in a Minefield, the story itself is about a teenager, not an adult, and I felt the first cover image depicting a woman's legs and feet while wearing a pair of stiletto sandals was perhaps a bit too adult in theme considering the nature of the story. Yes, this book is romantic in nature, but it's not adult romance. A little while after it was published, I started feeling like the cover wasn't really conveying the proper feeling I wanted for the book and so I made the change.

Reason two, this was only my second book to be published and I was still beyond green when it came to the art of putting together a decent book cover. I was incredibly lucky with Prom Changed Everything because I not only found the absolutely perfect image for it, but the artist of the piece was extremely gracious enough to allow me to use it for the cover for no charge. Author's know how rare that is, so when the time came to publish High Heels in a Minefield, I was limited to the use of whatever stock photos Amazon had available during the publishing process. Obviously, I've learned a great deal about cover crafting since those days, but it always bugged me how limited my choices were back then and how I couldn't truly find the right image through Amazon to illustrate the type of book I was publishing. Was it a sexy image? Absolutely, but 'sexy' isn't what High Heels is about, so I made the change.

I hope this offers a bit of insight into my thought process behind making these changes.

That makes the third cover

And to be honest I liked the very first one because it was bright and the story is much more upbeat than Prom Changed Everything. The current cover is a bit drab and depressing but maybe that's just me.

This third cover is good. No heels, just wedges. First cover was just so much better. I won’t mention the second....
