Aunty Edeyn is letting me use her computer while she's doing homework tonight, but she made me promise to come here. She says there are lots of stories about girls like me, and that there is even a couple of girls that might be younger like me. I really don't know who is who though, so please bear with me. If there are any of you out there that may want to talk, please let me know.

I hope she pointed to some of those stories
Hi and welcome. Your aunt is like "Mom" for all of us here. I hope you enjoy the site.
Kaleigh Way
I can totally see that
She'd be an awesome Mom. But no, she didn't point out any of the stories, and she's talking to my 'rents now, and is going to be doing homework all night so we can all do stuff tomorrow.
Well, she's really more like a sister
Erin's really the Mom.
But anyway...
Do you know the Gaby stories?
Oh, Cheers is fun, even if there's only one (long) episode.
Gabi's Aunt Greta stories...
And my stuff's not bad, I think.
Hi there!
It's nice ta see another young person around to help keep the old folks in line! I KID, I kid, don't shoot!
But seriously, everyone here is great. I recommend Kaleigh's work highly, and your Aunt's, as well as 'Leighway', 'And That's the Way it Happened', and 'Kelly Girl'.

Oh, and just to put in a plug, 'Oh, Cheers: FIGHT!' should be out next week, doncherknow.
Hi Rew!
Glad you're here. I'm sure you'll find at least a few friends here you can relate to.
I know Edeyn some (boy, that was grammatical...), and really like her.
For once I'm not going to talk a lot, but WELCOME!

.
Lots of good stuff here ... then there is mine
Well, as Joe E Brown said at the end of So,e Like it Hot, "Nobodies perfect."
There are seriious stories here, strange stories, wacky stories, a few I never have figured out and some very silly ones.
If you have a LOT of time Anharad's, As Easy as Falling off a Bike is a marvelous *slow burn* of a piece with lots of humor and patheous.
Randalynn and Scott Ramsey have some great sci-fi TG stories and Angela Rasch has some remarkable stories. There are many other good even great things here, some short, some long and such.
If you like the X-men and comic superheros, the Whateley Academy stories are great, some are posted here and Erin has links to the rest. I dabble in Whateley fan fic, Timeout, as do Paula_D and Itinerant. I tend toward the humorous, Itinerant the historical with some humor but more serious, and Paula from more of a teenager's and family's reaction to the boy becoming a mutant girl. You might enjoy any of our efforts. Grover wrote a fantacy gamer type alt universe superhero tale that is a great read.
If you need a Readers Digest view of BC, try reading some of the contest entries from the last couple years. Many of the regulars entered and some real gems got posted.
Lots more, poke around and have fun. If you don't like a particular story or author, try something else. You will likely find something to enjoy here.

Hello, REW
Hello, REW,
I am the mum of girl like you who transitioned three years ago and now she goes to a girls' school here in UK. She is only 12, so I don't allow her to come on this site, but I look for stories for her then download them and we read them to each other every night at bedtime. Tricia particularly loves the stories by Angharad, Gabi and Kaleigh as they are written with young people in mind. She also loves Camp Kumoni and Send Me the Money, although I sometimes have to take out some of the “rude†words before I let her read them.
How old are you? You must love reading, like my daughter does.
Hugs,
Hilary P
Halloo!
Aunty Edeyn saw this comment and told me to come and login and answer you while my parents are still getting ready. I don't have long, because she's taking the three of us out to have fun in KC today -- apparently, there's fun stuff to do that won't break the bank.
Nice to meet you, Ms. P. I'm 17 almost 18, but I wouldn't have a problem having a younger friend if you didn't have a problem with her having an older friend. Maybe we can exchange emails? Aunty Edeyn used to be called Trysha, which is like Tricia, only spelled differently. Tell Tricia "halloo" from me -- she (and you, and anyone else on this place) can call me Roo, like Aunty does if you'd like. It's sort of a nickname. She calls my Mom "Kanga" and my Dad "Rabbit" -- I think she's got some sort of Pooh fixation, but I love her anyway.
I'll have to read some of those stories, but I'm reading some of Aunty Edeyn's first. There's some she won't let me read, even though I'm 17, she says she's not ready for me to read them. Do you ever let Tricia read any of her stories?
I'm going to be going to an all-girls school, too. There were two schools in the area where we moved to, and we finally decided that the all-girls school had the better programs (and would be less scary for me). I have kind of panicky problems around too many guys. My therapist says it'll fade away in time, but still.
Okay, about me.
I'm 17, my old name doesn't matter, but my name now (and all legal-like as of May 23!) is Raychel Edeyn Wilson - R.E.W. REW Roo! Dad was joking about spelling it Wilsyn so that I'd have a y in every name. :)
I've been lucky enough to have parents that are willing to travel so far in order to let me stop from becoming a boy through puberty, and I've been approved for HRT starting June 16th! I'm tall, taller than any of the girls I've met in my new hometown, and taller than a lot of the girls back in our old hometown. 5 feet and 10 inches. I have dark auburn hair. Well, it's not naturally, but I like it this color. It's usually kind of a plain and dirty-looking strawberry blonde. I have brown eyes.
My favorite author is Laurie R. King, my favorite movie is the Fifth Element, my (current) favorite actress is Anne Hathaway, my (current) favorite singer a toss-up between Lilly Allen, Kat McPhee, and Jordin Sparks.
I'm really not good at the writing stuff, and I know this doesn't follow the grammar rules and stuff totally.
I want to be an actress, though. I'm hoping my shoulder and hip eventually straighten out, or I can kiss that dream goodbye. It's getting easier to talk and typing is WAY easier than writing on paper.
Is there any other stuff you want to know? I don't have any idea how to talk about things unless I'm asked questions!
REW
The Fifth Element
is one of my favs, too -- the first time I saw it was on DVD, and as soon as it was over, I just watched it again. I think I've seen it ten times. My second fav is "So I Married An Axe Murderer" -- which is a comedy, much funnier than it sounds.
Just a word of caution -- there are a LOT of nice people here, but anyone on the internet can get in, so it's not a good idea to tell your full name. If I were you, I'd take it out of your last comment.
hugs,
Kaleigh
I know to be careful
But my name had to be posted in the newspaper (dead tree and electronic) for WEEKS in order to be changed all legal-like.
Almost?
If by almost you mean "nearly a year" then yeah...
Don't be so ADULT
Think of it like I do. I'm 17. That's 17/18 of the way to 18!
Tis a most happy life we wish for you! :)
I know that you've had a bit of a rough time and I am profoundly sorry that you had to go through it. I pray that you won't let evil win and that you go on to be a wonderfully strong and empowered woman; filled with love and compassion for others.
This is one of those "safe places" and I hope that you can grow to enjoy coming here to share and to enjoy the love of others here. Not very much over a year ago, I came here. I was so shy and timid; afraid to share my story, or my work.
Look at me now! I am such a pest! :)
Many blessings to you.
