This news story came up for me on Yahoo today, and I wanted to share it with everyone here.

It's a good piece about a T-girl who began her transition in middle school, and the positive things that occurred with her new beginnings.

Of course I remind you to not read the comments, simply out of intelligent caution. I did not nor will I read the comments section. Too many 'idjits' out there that I don't want to hear from.

Why? Because it feels so good when I stop

Read this piece earlier today. WONDERFUL story...

And then I read the comments, (blahhh blah child abuse, liberal parents PUSHING their kid into this; chromosomes chromosomes, Paul McHugh says; GOD this that + the other; Boys got a weiner, weiner weiner weiner...) knowing too damn well what it was gonna be, since I fall into that trap about once a week, never learning...

Which I think makes me the biggest idjit of all. But the article was great, Nicole was great, and her school environment sounds so supportive it might put some of us authors of sturm und drang TG stories out of work; and the handful of rebuttal comments to the idjits (some signature letters bearing the pink, white and baby blue trans flag motif...) were pretty uplifting too...

or it was the trolls i have blocked in the past already, i just went through the comments on this one (i saw it a day or so ago, but had read the original article when it was first published about her coming out a few years ago) were all positive, at least those i could see.

Outsiders in Taxachusetts?

ROFL?
The Tax bit was why Route 3 down to Lowell was a car park in the mornings. People preferred N.H. to M.A. even with a sometimes terrible commute.
Still things may have changed in the 30 years since I was over there.
I can only hope that this attempt is thrown out with the garbage.

So what’s the balance?

What is the ratio for this type of story?

Good story to bad story ratio, that is?

It is sad that we even have to mention the fact there are positive stories to contrast against.

Trans children get the ire of these anti-trans activists as they always trot out the uncertainty aspect of it.

While it is true there are a lot of children who will outgrow being gender confused, it does not justify forcing trans kids to wait till they are adults on the chance they are wrong.

The hypocrisy of social conservatives who are the typical nuts who go after our community just appalls me.

Not entirely sure about this.

There may be certain aspects of this story that are false. Then to see the comments about liberalism ... The idea that Megin Kelly is making positive comments about this ...

At face value, she looks very presentable. So, she is like a Sophomore now?

I can only pray that Trump leaves soon. I worry about those who got him elected. Will she get a fair chance?

Those Deplorables

Stay calm my friend.

Trump got elected for a variety of reasons.

Early in the election, I stated, "Trump will top out at about 20% of the general population. That is about all the bigots we have." I hate to back too far away from that estimation.

Hillary had a lot to do with his election. Comey had a lot to do with his election. Bernie's disappointed supporters had a lot to do with his election. Uninspired Democrats had a lot to do with his election. 200,000 votes in four states would have reversed the result.

Many would like you to believe that Trump's policies have broad-based support, but the facts don't prove that out. He has CVongress worried because he's threatened to primary any Congressman who doesn't support him. Given how our primaries are run that is not a hollow threat. It only takes a small number of loonies to take over the election process.

If history repeats itself, Trump's wild swing to the far right will result in an equal swing to the left in the next election.

We are going through temporary insanity.

Trump is causing the decline of the American economy to accellerate. Chances are, that the fates decree he should also be forced to administrate the collapse. I do not see him going all that quickly, I'm afraid.
