Twelve months and one day... That's how long I've been on BC. It has been an amazing year. Writing has been a wonderful experience, publishing a story on the web is an experiment in unadulterated anxiety. I've joked with myself that there isn't a 'recall' button on stories. There is a reason why I never refer to the stories as "my story"-- always "the story" or "this story" the audience makes of the story or takes from the story what they wish. An author puts a story out there and it is no longer the author's. It is the readers' (copyrights, not withstanding-- giggles).

I enjoy sharing what I can, hoping someone feels something for the story. I have not been disappointed by the response. With each read, comment, and like I take heart that someone is devoting time, part of their life, in giving life to the story. I've spent many nights over the past 12 months chatting, writing, or researching with many from this site. I am blessed to find people so willing and selfless to help develop the tools I need to create something that would touch others emotionally. I've learn a lot about outlining, plotting, developing characters and their journey as well (and someday, I'll use them-- grin).

I hope that the next twelve months are spent making something wonderful that all of you can also make your own. I know I say thank you for taking the time to read, comment, and critique the stories. I really do appreciate all of it.

Twelve months and one day will end for me with my first blog. And that is really just to say "Thank You" to all of you!

Hugs,
Leila
