You've heard of the Dick and Jane stories, right? Well, Jane and Dick are pretty much the same ... but different too. ;)
Yesterday I found a brand new reprint of "The World of Dick and Jane and Friends" at a book fair/fund raising event they had at my work. Anyways, I had a scanner, and Photoshop and ... well, I made a couple of minor changes to the cover. Attached to this post is the original image of Dick and Jane, as well as my modified version of Jane and Dick.

I don't think they'd fit right Jen, they're at the wrong angle. Dad, however is in about the right pose to swap heads with little Sis there! Thank you, Heather Rose. Now I've got JANE & DICK wallpaper on my computer screen. Hope those 3 sleeping dormice that I replaced understand...

I used the Alice and Jerry readers, one of the last classes to do so 1964/65. We had three reading groups, the Dick and Jane readers were for the SLOW group. I was in the fast group.
