I was surfing the net and found one of the transgender bathroom rights versus sexual predators (probably a NC law supporter) ads. With the statement "Please do not let these hate groups win!!! " appended in support of the ad.

I have to ask, how does supporting a hate group (anti-transgender) in any way prevent a hate group from winning??

As for the statistics they used ... pathetic. 747,000 registered sex offenders, one of these "men" entering a female restroom etc. The US 2016 population is 322.7 Million, approximately 1 million are transgendered, public statistics for transgender sex offenders range from zero to five depending on which source you want to use. So the odds of meeting a transgender sex offender range from zero to one in 64.54 million, but that is worth hating about one million people that are not registered sex offenders?

In whose twisted logic chain does registered sex offender automatically equal transgender? How do any of the proposed "bathroom safety" bills make anyone safer? If a registered (read convicted) sex offender decides to walk into a restroom to commit a crime how is a transgender not allowed sign / law going to stop them?

I apologize for the mini rant, but I had to get it off my mind.

Kookoo Clocks in Hell

I THINK ONE OF MY FAVORITE PASSAGES FROM VONNEGUT APPLIES HERE:

“I have never seen a more sublime demonstration of the totalitarian mind, a mind which might be linked unto a system of gears where teeth have been filed off at random. Such a snaggle-toothed thought machine, driven by a standard or even by a substandard libido, whirls with the jerky, noisy, gaudy pointlessness of a cuckoo clock in Hell.

"The dismaying thing about classic totalitarian mind is that any given gear, thought mutilated, will have at its circumference unbroken sequences of teeth that are immaculately maintained, that are exquisitely machined. Hence the cuckoo clock in Hell - keeping perfect time for eight minutes and twenty-three seconds, jumping ahead fourteen minutes, keeping perfect time for six seconds, jumping ahead two seconds, keeping perfect time for two hours and one second, then jumping ahead a year. The missing teeth, of course, are simple, obvious truths; Truths available and comprehensible even to ten-year-olds, in most cases. The wilful filing off a gear teeth, the willful doing without certain obvious pieces of information..."

Lets face it

There is a greater chance of being asked for sex in a bathroom from a Republican than anyone in the transgender community. The Republican party has at least three arrests over the past 30 years or so. Plus there is all the other issues those fools have.

I really hate a voting year. They get out there and spout all sorts of nonsense for a vote, most taking the fears of the uninformed and blowing it out of proportion

I just wonder if to travel in the bathroom states, do I need my birth certificate at all times? Of are they hiring a person to grope and feel for what is in your pants?

I guess it depends...

...on which they fear most--transwomen who are six-three with size 14 feet, basso voices and broad shoulders, or those who look enough like the cis women in the room to go about their business unnoticed. The latter might be even more frightening to them, as they have no way of easily telling who is trans and who isn't.

If you fall between those two extremes, it's anybody's guess what you'll require.
