Those who have been following The Transit of Venus know that I like to put links in the text to tempt readers. On the whole these have been popular, even the ones prompted by my weird British sense of humour, but I would like to apologise to readers coming across the links some time after an episode was posted if the link has gone out of date or simply become defunct. My intension has always been to write in such a way that the links are not a necessary part of the story but an ‘extra’ for those interested.

As a ‘newbie’ to writing I will say that playing with these links has helped by prompting new ideas as to where a story might go acting as mini-muses or an intellectual stroll around the block.

Links. A newbie to BC maybe.

Rhona, Most of your links are still active 2 yrs after posting, and definitely add to the story. The expired links do not take anything away from the story line.
I just can't figure how you find the time to search them out.

Links

Your links are delightful, very few have gone out of date. They are like whipped cream on top of an ice cream sundae.

There is a posting by a new author, Karen Lockhart. The story is, "Gene's story,or how I gained a cousin" I think it's pretty good. Let me know what you think, and I'll pass it on to Karen.
