Hi all,

here is a little heads-up on developments.

The next (and final) part of the (my) Chivan tales will be posted in the next few days. Naturally, it stops at the start of the post-Chivan era, so if any of you want to pen some tales to fill in the two great missing swathes of time, then there will be plenty of scope - the time after the Chivans when the Empire came into being, the hangover of which gave rise to the different countries in Garia's time, and the different ruler's titles! Of course, there are also opportunities for many more tales set in Chivan times.

Then of course, there was the Great Storm which altered the course of the Sirrel in the Great Valley and which we know was 1175 years before the current timeline in S E E.

So a few thousand years of gaps that need filling, perhaps.

All sorts of intriguing questions leap to the agile mind!

What were the VMBs up to in those years?
What transferees were brought in, with what objective(s)?
How did the Country borders get formed?
What created the ox-bows, and how long ago?
... ... ... ... ... ...

The next Julina Episode is also about to go into the final proofing/editing phase.

Of course, Penny and I have been in touch as we need to co-ordinate various threads, so I know she has been nearly overwhelmed with the familial upheavals in RL and all the associated physical work required for alterations to the house and to her routines. But nevertheless, she has already managed more than half her usual number of words and I suspect that she will soon be back into the swing of things.

So I (we) wish you all a pleasant summer break, if you are in the Northern Hemisphere, or a wintery one if in the South.

And want to assure you that you have been neither forgotten nor abandoned.

Cheers all

Julia
