Grover's wife just called me and told me that Grover is in hospital and will be undergoing triple bypass surgery within the next day or two.
Let's all take a moment and send good thoughts, vibes and/or prayers for one of the most prolific and imaginative writers out there.
My prayers have already gone out and will continue to do so until Grover, my friend, my sister, is past this crisis. Lots of hugs to Understanding Wife, Grover's wife as well.

Here's to successful surgery and an uneventful recovery.
Mind you my dad had aortic valve replacement at almost 80 years of age and is still an active pain in the butt at 88.
So I have high hopes for our dear BC friend and talented writer.
Make my rear molar extraction, a filling and crown re-cementing tomorrow seem a cakewalk.

I was going to post this to Understanding Spouse, but she does not appear to have been on since 2010. Grover is of course not on, so Cathy please forward my best wishes to Grover. These days, the prognosis for this procedure is good. Grover will feel so much better in a few days that it will be a task to not get too rambunctious until healing is going along.

This reminds me of September 2001 when I went in for the same thing - was kept in hospital for 7 days instead of usual 5 and went for a very short walk my first day home and have never looked back since.
