A news story on CNN this morning captured my immediate attention. It's about "exoskeletons" that are being developed right now, for use by the military!!

Now I don't know if there's a Dr. Fine in charge of this research, nor do I know if they found their prototypes in a wrecked alien spaceship, but it seems to me that this story is eerily like my own story, Transformers (Sort Of) *giggle*

Life imitating fiction? Who knows?

Transformors for real?

There are several researchers working on such suits from everything from cargo handlers like out of Alien 2 to powered combat armor. To the best of my knowledge nothing like Dr. Fine's projects but if they were they wouldn't be telling us would they? Just think of all the orders from the 'community'! Since the latest chapter had the suit administering hormones just think of the savings in medical expenses! Of course it might also be mucking with the old gray matter too. What's a little mind control among friends?

PS I seem to recall a story where a mountain climber using a exo-suit helped a man paralizyed from the waist down to the top of some summitt. Does anyone else recall the details?

PS: I found it! Not what I thought at first. Suit helped an able body friend carry him using the suit, but still.... Information on the HAL 5 http://www.technovelgy.com/ct/Science-Fiction-News.asp?NewsN...
