A Rose in the Cracks - Edited 2nd Edition!

AUTHOR'S NOTE
I feel that I have to apologize for posting yet another blog about this story...

It's just that the incomparable Tom Peashey had offerred to edit out some of the thorny typos and other distractions... which made for a MUCH more readable 2nd Edition (that I have been told should not cost more to update if you bought it already). Thank you so much Tom!

Resources on voice training?

Author:

I will admit to practicing a number of the many YouTube tips on training a feminine voice in the car during my daily commutes.

I think it also fair to admit that such practice may go a teesy bit beyond simple research for my stories (which it most certainly is for as well).

A stumble in trying to portray a realistic change of voice through only training is something that I never considered before... a simple cough or act of clearing one's throat, which seem to tear down the illusion more than anything. So...

My Man Has Me

I have to apologize for the brevity at only 900 words. AuPreviner pointed me to a YouTube link as an example of music that conveys a palpable feeling. The song almost forced to me write...

--ooOoo-
Phillipe came up silently but I didn’t flinch when he wrapped his arms around my tiny middle and whispered hotly in my ear.

“Tell me, ‘mon mec a moi.’”

His breath tickled my neck as he nibbled my earlobe, tugging gently on the tear-drop shaped pearl. A delectable shiver raced up my spine, which made me giggle.

Contribution Idea?

Author:

I wonder if it might make sense to list the site as a "magazine" on Amazon, where people can order magazine subscriptions too. I would have to think that a "purchase option" for either a one time purchase... or a true hatbox subscription... could be offered like you can order certain high-use makeup.

You can, for example, purchase a pretty mascara as a "One time purchase"... or as a "subscription" (as shown below) where you might choose to have it reordered automatically! Use the same idea for a "Donation" or "Subscription" here?

Microsoft... AARRGGHH!!

Has anyone else received this banner at the top of their Hotmail account (if that is what you use)?

It reads, "We've made a change that requires to remove and re-add your [email protected] account to continue synching mail and calendar" with a "Remove Account" button to the side.

Now I seem to have been unable to trade emails with a dear friend and writer here... some of those emails with bits and tidbits of things we are working on.

Thank you all so very much!

My first ever attempt at putting something out on Amazon continues to surprise me. With the wonderful community here, and some very special people who helped to push me forward, I thought that I would share a milestone.

A Rose in the Cracks has, just a few moments ago, logged a quarter million pages read in their Kindle Unlimited subscription service and their Kindle Owners Lending Library, which are both outside of actual book sales.

Trivial Consequence Part 1 has gone missing

Author:

I posted Trivial Consequence- Part 2 a short while ago... but just noticed that yesterday's Trivial Consequence- Part 1 has now come off the Home page.

I know that most instalment pieces are usually spaced further apart, but I would so like to see both parts up. There were only two parts in total.

Is this normal? I.e. does a second chapter/part take away any earlier part on the Home page to make room?

Trivial Consequence- Part 2

I have received some kind (but undeserved) words after posting the first part of this two-part piece. It really was a bit of obvious fluff to me… written as a break from a longer story that I hope to post on Amazon someday. As such, I feel like you deserve an apology… or at least a warning. There is some sexual content in this part that I felt was more necessary to the story than “gratuitous”. Anyway…

Part 2

Trivial Consequence- Part 1

There will only be two parts to this one. I am writing a longer piece to hopefully publish this year, but needed to take a step back... only I find it hard to stop writing completely! This one may be a little linier and obvious. I hope my (too frequent) naming convention doesn't confuse anyone reading my Amazon book at the moment too. Anyway...

And you are not going crazy! I had indeed posted the same seven chapters of "A Rose in the Cracks" on BCTS that is now in the free "Look inside" option on Amazon. (Just click the book cover photo below to go to it! And that look is free!)

A Rose in the Cracks

I'm so nervous! I just submitted my first book for Amazon! I don't really consider myself a writer, and I have held off writing shorter pieces to write something longer, but Sephrena and others prodded me enough to try it. At least I can say I tried it now!

Hugs to all who have heard me prattle about it for so long,
Stacy

Corrected Christmas Story

I HAD to repost a corrected version of my Christmas Dreams Contest story (It's Love). It's not materially different, but I put an embarrassingly sloppy version out before that really shouldn't be out there to tarnish this wonderful site.

Apologies again! There is little reason to re-read it... but new readers should have a slightly less distracting piece to (hopefully) enjoy.

Hugs... and Apologies... and Merry Christmas!
Stacy

December 2017 Christmas Dreams Story Contest Entry

Noel’s “big girl bed” was my old unfinished futon bed from New York. Splashes of food, drinks, and who-knew-what that had soaked into the bare wood at its foot, ensuring the need for an oversized throw to cover it.

“Read Daddy!” she excitedly urged without whining or offering anything but love for our time together.

Hiding in Plain Sight

I've worn pretty things under my normal clothes many times,
but not like this...

when the definition of "normal" might be a stretch.

What if?

Johnny and I chatted online about meeting during a glorious month that I had to be "me".
After a long absence… he asked what it would have been like if we had actually gone through with it.

She's Taking Over

It was harmless fun. It may have been a strange obsession... but nothing that would interfere with a "normal" life.
How then did those oh-so-gradual changes make everything... diferent?
