A very well-drawn webcomic about two transgendered teens, Shay - an extremely confident girl who loves skirts and the goth scene; and Dani - an introverted girl who is abused by her parents, the only time s/he is happy is when she is dressed as a girl and out with her best (and only) friend Shay. Portions of this have been cross-posted to FM, but the newest panels can be found at the Between The Lines website.

Thanks Karen
I wasn't aware of this comic, thanks for posting this. It really is very well done.

Shay & Dani
I LOVE this comic! Am glad you mention it here at BC. Went gaga over it when pages 1-8 were posted on FM, and found my way to the site. The artwork is a neat blend of collage & ink, the story well told. Goth in style yet refreshingly life affirming. Some heavy family and t.g-teen survival issues aluded to, yet basically fun. Lots of goodies on there beside the strip itself. The little movie SISSY McFRENCHFRY currently playing (not by the comic's creator MEKARI but someone else) is a hoot, surprisingly good production values, + a great message.
~~~check it out! LAIKA
Nice comic
Thanks, Karen.
It's a nice twist
It hits so close to my heart, Dani is so like I was at 14 and Shay is so like I wished to be. The artwork is top-notch and the text has already provided a couple of gems, such as Shay's "I'm starting my skirt rebellion!! Skirts 24/7 baby!!"
