A children's book exploring the life of a young transgirl. It's not just a happy book, it's a touching book. Saw a copy not too long ago and thought I'd share. |
| Nick has known all his life he was a girl inside, has supportive parents that let him express himself as he wants.
But at school, it's not so nice. Spiral into unhappiness and anger... then enters the therapist who helps Nick. Nick eventually transitions and it's shown that there are changes for everyone to make, including using the proper pronouns for the new girl, and her new name -- Hope. |

Re. books
In my unhappy childhood within the "care sysem" my only solace was to stick my head in a good book.
I had no place in life as neiher the boys or the girls accepted me in the playground.
Books were my saviour!!! Thankyou Enid Blyton for mantaining my sanity.
OK her books were a bit simplistic but they allowed me to live out a fanasy where real life denied me a childhood.
I'm very glad you posted this.....
...as you say, not just a happy book, but touching. Thank you.
