The big hint is undoubtedly the "Those 70's Rockers" poster (which we saw partially in #2).
I'm not sure about the other joke, but a CRT monitor mysteriously appears on the chest of drawers in the last panel...
Next Wednesday should be interesting when we see Ptarro in all his glory (or should that be "...in all his gory"?) - especially considering the comment I made on the original B/W version...

I consider the poster one of the jokes. The CRT monitor is on a desk, not the chest. Most of the desk, between the chest and the bed, could not be seen in either picture of the room so far but I've seen Daniel's sketches, so yeah, it's there.

I guess his hair went white 'cause he got a fright. There's an apple core and what looks like a red Inky in the thick of it so to speak.

Yeah, the apple core is the fourth joke. :) The white hair is just a coloring choice, not intended as a joke, just emphasis at to how frightened the kid is.
I don't know where you think you see Inky in the spatter but I'm sure that's just the resemblance of one lump to another. :)
