The Other Woman - Part 2

The Other Woman Part Two

Continuing the story of how a wife meets the other woman in their lives, who happens to be her husband.

This story is dedicated to my friend and fellow author Warm Hearted, who has called me his cheerleader. We have become good friends and confidants, sharing comments and ideas on our stories as well as messaging and emailing each other regularly.

A Funeral for Everyone

Author's note: Just a quick thanks to evberyone. I know it is not long winded but it is all I can come up with at the moment.

All of Geralt Bellegrade's friends and family knew that sooner rather than later he would die a sudden death from a severe epileptic seizure. Even with people being shocked in the fact that the walking dead man was still alive, the news of his death was devastating. His death was an inevitable as the Sun rising from the east, but people took the news like they saw the Sun rise from the west.

Charlotte has now found the Army totally by accident and is luckily with a detachment of the 95th who are patrolling the mountains looking for the French spy.

In this and future episode’s of Book 2 I have borrowed very heavily from the excellent ‘Sharpe’ series of books by Bernard Cornwell which describe the times, the country and the life in the army perfectly.
I have avoided using any names in those novels but in a few places I have used Major Sharpe as a cameo character.

A New Job Promotion Twist Part 2

I'm leading Collin down the steps of our secret basement. It is the day. He seems calm – if not confident. As we stand outside of the door, I tell him. “I am required to ask you if you are willing to walk through this door. You will not be hurt by anything you see. But if you feel you don't want to do this, you will be okay. We will honor our five year deal with you.” Collin says, “I want to do this. I am ready.” I open the door for him, and then sit and wait.

The Seven Deadlies: Chapter 2: The Audition

It seemed to list an audition site in Houston. Deciding this was too good to be true he decided to make the drive down. Maybe he would be able to see a free performance but if not he still wouldn't mind paying. Airfare plus the cost of tickets would be much more expensive in New York or LA, not to mention the cost of a hotel room or hostel.

He swore when first watching the video there were seven of them, but after watching it again there seemed to only be 5 or 6.

The Stake War: A Tale of Zhor

NOTE: This story is based on "The Fact Sheet for Zhorian Universe Contributors" by Overlord. Overlord invites Zhor fans to try writing Zhor stories of their own. The article is found at http://www.pornhome.com/stories/zhor/world.htm

"The Stake War" is an oldie but goody. It has appeared elsewhere, but this version has undergone newing edit and polishing.

On Zhor, the one who loses the celebrated martial contest called the Stake War may taste dregs of defeat that are particularly bitter. After such a draft he might never be the same again. This is a story about a champion of battle who fought and failed. Fortunately, nothing in life nothing is simple. It may be that, for some, a loss, even a loss of the most devastating kind, may yield more in gain than the victory he had sought ever could.

“I take it that you have plans for this evening?” Mary Sue asked, looking at Leslie with a grin.

The Job

He was sitting behind a huge desk, one large enough to play table tennis on. A huge 27-inch iMac was to the side with its wireless keyboard and mouse placed strategically in front of him and a telephone on the other side; nothing else.

Sitting opposite him in a slightly lower chair, it seemed slightly intimidating and I assumed that was the purpose of our relative positions.

The Seven Deadlies: Chapter 1

“Oh jeez, another big American Pop group performing at the mega concert hall around. Please just gag me with a knife or a rusty spoon” Craig muttered, putting down the newspaper he just bought at the gas station. “Why do I even bother to hope, in the Midwest or the dead spot of the U.S. for foreign musical groups? I mean I know Chicago scores sometimes but generally most popular foreign groups may hit the coasts and that's it. Sure there are SOME foreign artists at cultural events but they're generally no name and some, if not most, are traditional music.”

The Christmas Party – Part 2

Karen let me in her house, and Sid was out watching football at the pub. We sat and chatted for a while, just drinking tea. About six o’clock, Sid came home and we ordered a take-away, while me and Karen went to see what to wear that night. In the end, I borrowed the red bandage dress she wore when we last went clubbing, leaving my new dress hanging in the wardrobe of her spare room. We left at about eight, with me sitting in the front of the cab and the driver looking at my legs.

“Have you tried turning it off and on”, the two strangers passing by each other mutter out loud in a sarcastic tone with a bad Irish brogue as they heard a hipster talking on his uPhone about the tech issue he was having with his uPad. They looked at each other and laughed when they made eye contact. They both knew that the other quoted a line from their favorite TV show, The IT Crowd.

He focused his attention and saw a man sliding down the hood of his Charger, the pride and joy of his life. The concerned man got out of his car and went to check to see if there was any damage to his hood.

Unknown to All

Who Am I?

I'm always alone and have nobody to go to.

I live in an orphanage that I’ll be in until I’m old enough to leave.

I’ll be lucky if I ever graduate.

I ask the question again, Who am I?

I am the one looked down upon for being short and being the dumbest kid for my age.

Nobody wants to be my friend and I’m all alone with the teachers while the kids go out for recess.

This isn’t how I wanted life to go. This is just how it happened.

I’m the outcast, the one that nobody pays any attention to.

At the back of the property in Las Perdidas, a gnarled old tree grew. I'd seen it out there many times since we moved. It must have been there before the new subdivision went in and the builders had left it standing because it probably costs money to bulldoze a tree, even a tree that no one needs or wants.

Singles: Given to Fly

Singles: Given to Fly

Author’s Notes: This Story is inspired by Pearl Jam’s “Given to Fly.” I did reword some of the lyrics in it, I want to give Eddie Vedder credit for the lyrics and Mike McCready credit for the music, if not for the music I would not have been inspired so much by the song.

I also want to give thanks and credit to everyone who reads my stories. Everyone who read my stories has helped me become a better writer. It inspires me to do my best knowing that people get some sort of enjoyment out of the thoughts in my head which I put down on paper.

Chapter 12 - The Plot Thickens

She squinted at the bright light in her eyes. It was like the sun was shining directly into her face. Her head felt like it had been packed with cotton and she was having trouble making sense of anything. Realization grew on her that she had been looking at the same spot on the curtain wall beside the bed for minutes before she even knew that it was there.

Actions Have Consequences Vol 8: Night of Reckoning

Author's note: I thought this would take longer to finished it but this Volume just felt right to tie up the cliffhanger from the last Volume. Do not think that all the loose ends are tied up, this is not the end of the saga of Doug and Helen.
