Hi! I'm very new here. And I've been wondering about votes. I can't seem to find any info about them. How do you vote, and what does the votes mean, are there some kind of scale?

Thank you
Johanna

Sorry about this, found it

Sorry about this, found it when I turned off my ad blocker. And I accidentally voted on my own story, so if there is a way to take away that vote, I guess that should be done.

Thank you again.

Do you like your story?

If so, what's wrong with voting for it? Don't candidates in an election have the right to vote? Does anyone SERIOUSLY think anyone running for office would not vote for herself or himself? Don't sweat voting for yourself. Most stories "somehow" have 2 votes very quickly after being posted...

Agreed

If I like my story I vote for it. That happens about half the time.

Yeah, it's ok. But I don't

Yeah, it's ok. But I don't like the idea of voting for myself in anything. It just seems wrong to me, and also I didn't know the rules on this site.

Thanks. :)

Why not?

Politicians vote for themselves and some times they pay for them.Advertising is paying for votes pandering to certain segments is paying for them.If I write a story and post it here instead of the focus on the family site aren't I pandering to a receptive crowd? If only I was rich I might pay for votes or advertising for my storys at focus on the family.LOL Amy (please do what feels best for you )

Voting Disappeared?

Hi Anyone more techie than me,

Whenever I use a theme that is not the Big Closet default the vote thingie has disappeared, anyone know how to get it back.

Thanks

The appearance of the voting widget at the bottom of a story is a hack. It doesn't work with all of the themes that one can use. I may get around to hacking other themes but not today.

Hugs,
Erin
