What if you were asked by a computer game development company to join their team?
They told you they created a world where the player enters the skin of their character.
Bad things can happen to you if you fail to take care. Your actions have consequences.
You can quit the game but when you return people will remember what you did.
Your entire playing environment is inside the world. The game offers all five senses.
You can feel the cold and those fingers that caress your brow.
The fumes that fill the air from passing traffic fills your nostrils.
The four hour old coffee in the diner presents a stale taste in your mouth.
All of this they reported to Carl when they asked for his help.

“We need you to test the game for bugs and program changes to correct these errors.
Launch date is approaching and they need your skills. Would you accept the challenge?”

This is the proposal made to Carl Reynolds, a leading computer programmer. Carl believes even in 2078, this claim is impossible. When allowed to experience to world he still did not believe what he saw and felt. Even then he did not believe it. Against his better judgment, Carl could not turn down this opportunity.

This improbable adventure will follow Carl and a friend as they seek the truth. Can Carl unravel the lies, deceit and traps before it is too late? Will he discover the real reason for the existence of Cedar Falls set in a time one-hundred-nineteen years past?

The sci-fi journey is a grand departure from previous stories this writer spun. It unravels through thirteen chapters and more than 50,000 words. This is far from my previous tales of teenage discovery. It is a story of the fantastic asking what if you could live inside your computer?
