Another try

Printer-friendly version

This is a poem i've written years ago, when I was still trying to figure myself out, it's a short one, but I hope you like it:

sitting here
sitting here lonely
watching the mirror
trying to smile
tears come out of my eyes
who is that person?
why do I feel sad for him?
I clean my eyes and go outside with a smile
another day, another try

That's beautiful.

It sums things up very well.

One of my favorite quotes...

...could have been meant for you.

“Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow.” Mary Anne Radmacher

I love this verse of yours because it is so honest; I try to smile every day in the same manner, and most times I do squeeze out a grin, even after asking the same questions you do. Thank you for reminding me of that with your very powerful piece.

Crying is all right in its own way while it lasts. But you have to stop sooner or later,
and then you still have to decide what to do. ― C.S. Lewis

awww, thanks! ^^ you make me

awww, thanks! ^^

you make me blush!

Luckily I have already figured out who that person in the mirror is, because I kept searching hoping that one day the answer would come to me, and that it did. :--)

It was a difficult search and somewhere I guess you never stop searching, but trying to smile everyday kept the bad thoughts at bay most of the time ^^.

I'm truly glad there are people out there who like my poem, it was written with a lot of emotion back then.

grtz & hugs,

Sarah xxx
