You look for Ken with John...

“What do you think Ken is up to?” you ask John.
“I don't know,” John said, “if he's being this brash about getting to me, then he may have acquired some kind of magical power.”
“Maybe we should stick together then,” you suggest.
“That's probably best,” John agrees.
Together, both of you set off toward the source of the noise. As you get closer, you hear footsteps. You find yourself separated from John as you both reach a branching hallway near the back of the house.
Your heels click steadily as you walk down to the end of the hallway. As you reach an open doorway on your left, you see Ken slip out in front of you. Before you can react, he pushes you away! You keep yourself upright with your staff. You position yourself in front of Ken, ready to strike him with the staff.
“Out of my way!” Ken yells, “I have no quarrel with you!”
“That's too bad,” you say, “because I have a quarrel with you!”
Ken laughs, “Oh, is that about that whole sexual compulsion thing?”
“Not entirely,” you say coldly.
“You wouldn't be so cold about this if you had just surrendered to your feelings,” Ken says.
What do you do?
---Say “I'll surrender to my feelings this time... and they're telling me to smash your face in!” and proceed to do so.
---Say nothing, and wait for John to check out the ruckus you two have made.
---Extort more information about John from Ken

Ken was not above using you, he can't be trusted. John? He's also... questionable. However, according to both Ken and John, John explained how and in what manner his help would apply. Now if I was to do something?
I guess I'd use the staff, even though I want to learn more about John. For purposes of voting, please consider this a tiebreaker between options 2 and 3 (no points attributed otherwise), and a one clear vote for 1.

Well, try to use the staff.
Well, try to use the staff. Your strength is not too great now since you are female, but the staff gave you a sense of power and may well be magical. Step back and see if you can confine Ken until John shows up. If that doesn't work, try to extort info from Ken about John. If that doesn't work, use the Monty Python retreat -- RUN AWAY!!
