I received a PM from someone today, worried that I had disappeared since many of my main stories have not been updated for some time. I'm still here :)

Okay, so this person though and I agreed that it would be a good idea to let everyone know what has been going on.

A few years ago, I had developed a serious medical problem. Lost almost all the feeling from the waist down, could barely manage to walk with a cane and fell a lot. what feeling I did have left was the most intense pain that you could imagine, which of course led to painkillers that left my mind in a deep fog. The surgery I finally went thru was a success, although due to my pain tolerance being so high and not getting it looked at there was some permanent nerve damage.

Hey no worries, I regained more feeling in my legs than I lost. Walking without a cane and I can feel my toes again. Although getting life back on an even keel is still an ongoing process.

Now all this, of course, has affected my writing, try as I might I have not been able to sit down and write like I once did. I'm sure one day I will finally break out of this slump. Until then my plan of attack is to finish off the stories I have unfinished one at a time since I can't bounce back and forth between them adding 5 to 10 thousand words each week like I once did.

In that planning, part 8 of 'For Better or Worse' should be out soon and part 9 when I get that written should be the finale. A second book for that character is planned, but will work on either Kelly's story or Super soldier before I start it.

Sorry to hear of your illness

And, I am happy to have you report that you are feeling better. Don't let anyone badger you into doing more than makes you feel good. None of us understand your life and your needs better than you do.

Blessings

Good to know you are still writing and planning to continue.

I hope that things improve further and you get your groove back. :)
