Drabble Saga 25: Worried Cute

Printer-friendly version

Davey, or Dee Dee, wrapped the fluffy robe around his, or her, waist and tied the belt.

"You wrapped that the wrong way, honey," said Ruby.

"What?" said Davey.

"Girls wrap their robes right-over-left, not the other way."

"You're kidding."

"Nuh-uh, here, lemme show you how to do it; You tied the knot wrong, too."

"This is crazy."

Ruby chuckled. "What's crazy is a girl like you with so much talent she ain't even discovered. But don't worry, Mommy Ruby gonna show you what you don't know how."

"Now I'm worried."

"And that's why you're so keeyoot, sugar," said Ruby.

What?

Is that really true? The right over left thing, jeez I've always done that xD Though I imagine she's talking about stereotypes, I bet I can find a few women where I live that do it the other way xD Life is so kewl because people are just so different ^^

I just got to be me :D

I know who I am, I am me, and I like me ^^
Transgender, Gamer, Little, Princess, Therian and proud :D

A Givien?

If the button(s) are on the left, than the closing standard would be a given right-over-left? If true, habit then would carry over for items simply belted too, would it not? Of course, if you were a girl wearing passed down jeans from your older brother (lol), then who cares about stereotypes? Not me, but of course I am not a boy trying to pass as a girl. If I was, then I would be wise to pay attention and be very much a stereotypical girl, IMHO.

On another note, is this Drabble starting to lose its 100 word punch. I think I would still like the author to turn this into a more fully written story. Drabbling seems to me like looking at a cake. It might be pretty, but not fullfiling.

I am a grain of sand on a near beach; a nova in the sky, distant and long.
In my footprints wash the sea; from my hands flow our universe.
Fact and fiction sing a legendary song.
Trickster/Creator are its divine verse.

What do readers think?

If I had a point to prove with drabbling, I think I've done it. :) I originally intended to end this very soon so if I continue it past that point, I'll probably do it as a more conventional story.

Love and blisters on my fingers,

It depends on the robe

Most of the ones I have have a string on the inside that gets tied first, so it would be impossible to do the outside sash the wrong way.
