Regarding Part 3

I'm kind of surprised about the response to Part 3 of the latest Eerie Saloon tale.

There IS no response. NO ONE has commented.

Now I don't expect many comments. It is only part 3 or a 13 part story. A lot of the comments at such a point in the posting of past parts of the Eerie saga have been of the "I'm enjoying it, an I'll comment at the end" variety.

Except a lot of people DON'T comment at the end.

This isn't nice. The only real payment that Chris and I get for literally YEARS of work is feedback from our readers. And we do read and discuss the comments we get. Some of the plot complications in the current story originated, in part at least, from reader comments.

This includes the news Trisha just got in part 3, and we expected more reader reaction to it.

We also expected some reaction to what happened to Bridget in this part. She's been around from the beginning and had a lot of fans -- we thought. Then Forry Stafford does what he does in Week 3, which sets up a plot thread that runs in several ways through the rest of this part of the tale.

And NOBODY says anything.

C'mon, people. Tell us what you thought about what happens in part 3.

In all truth, I haven't read

In all truth, I haven't read the last two sections of the story. I haven't been in the right 'mood' for Eerie. Do I think they're bad stories? No! In fact, I enjoy them. I've read the first few sections several times.

I _do_ appreciate the both of you for writing the stories and continuing to build upon your Auld West, Eerie Tales.

I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.

I am sorry

But I have not read it yet. I have been following so many serials that I have be losing track and rereading. So, I had decided that would read all episodes on completion. It may work better for me but it is not so good for the authors.

I'm Sorry

I'm sorry I try not to read unfinished stories. I have loved all the Eerie Saloon stories so far and can't wait to read the new one. I have limited time to read and and with my short term memory problems I don't have time to keep rereading things that I already have read. So far the Eerie Saloon stories are in the top 5 of all series I have read including all regular fiction.

I don't like westerns

So I didn't read past working out it's a western.
No comment on the writing or whatever I just don't read westerns in any style.

I will point out that it's

I will point out that it's not really a 'western'. It's set in what is euphemistically called "The Old West", but that's simply the historical setting. There's very little 'riding on the range', 'cow poking', or 'buy a dachshund'. (You know, a long, little doggie?)

It could just as easily have been set in a mining town (in fact, there's a mining storyline). Would you hate a story if it were written in Alaska or California instead of Arizona? Maybe if it were set in a nightclub instead of a saloon?

Not even read part 1 yet...

... so can't comment. I hope to when I get less busy, as it's something I'm looking forward to.
I know the feelings though. I'm happy that people read my stuff, but disappointed when few leave any comments. This is sadly reflected by reviews of books for sale. I have sold over 25,000 books and had just 348 reviews. That means less than 2% of readers can be bothered to review a book.

I have not been in a position to read anything very much, so I apologise, but that's life. When I do, I shall comment.

There's no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes!

Well, it was a bit of a disturbing update.

I don't typically comment on individual parts. You've split the story into smaller sections in the hopes of prompting comments. I get that, but it's not something that works for me. My comments just become less detailed as a result. I was going to wait until the final chapter to leave a constructive opinion based on the total experience. With your other submissions the Eerie stories were dropped in with larger 3-part chunks. They were pretty much mini novels in themselves. I was able to see a larger picture of the story at once and form an opinion that way.

The two most notable events of this particular chapter were obviously with Trisha and Bridget. The only thing I can say about the former is she's facing the consequences of her recklessness. It's also a shame that her ex-wife is such a terrible person. Kaitlyn really annoys me. She power trips and she's very insensitive.

As for Bridget, I was surprised and angered. Not just at Forry but at the possible future. I really hope she's not pregnant as well. If Forry becomes a 'potion girl' I'll be even more annoyed. I don't want an evil creature like that around for future updates. I despise him.

Thank You

You said that you despised Forry.

Thanks.

There are VERY FEW better compliments an author can get than to be told that he's created a character so well that a reader has real feelings about that character.

You'll have to wait and see what happens to Forry, but I hope that you enjoy reading about it.
