Holly will need your thoughts and prayers for longer than a blog usually stays visible so Erin is going to keep this one at the top of the blogs for a few days.

`
A couple of weeks ago I posted a blog about Holly's health. I am re-submitting it because Holly is going under the knife at 5:00 am on Thursday (TOMORROW!!) I'm asking for your prayers (or good thoughts, wishes, whatever your tradition is).
`
Holly moved from the San Francisco area to Indianapolis in June. Those of you who know her, know what a loving and caring woman she is. Even if you know her, you would be surprised at the strength and energy she exhibits in all she does. Holly who is in her mid-sixties has finished her move, unpacked a huge moving truck, and tackled a myriad of repairs her new home required. In fact, the problems with the house were her biggest complaints !! Not the surgery :)
`
She has been to the doctors, and will be undergoing surgery in the morning.
`
Holly has pancreatic cancer.
`
Earlier this year, Holly had difficulties. The doctors did a biopsy, and it did not show any cancerous cells.
`
It does now.
`
PLEASE, according to your tradition or beliefs, pray for Holly.
`
I will be posting more as soon as I know how the surgery went.
`
Hugs and blessings to you all, and especially to Holly!

Beth

That she has been to the doctors early with this

sounds promising.

Pancreatic cancer used to be a death sentence but like may cancers early detection and treatment makes a huge difference.

I wish her well, a speedy recovery and a most favorable outcome.

She deserves it.

Get well Holly

Holly is a wonderful person. She's helped lots of other people in the community in different ways. She organized the two BigCloset picnics in northern California over the last year. Please do remember her in your thoughts and prayers.

And thanks Beth for posting this.

Hugs,
Erin

Best wishes.

As someone who had a good family friend die of pancreatic cancer, I wish Holly the best of luck with her treatment.

I hope.

That things work out. And yes, I'm praying, whatever.

That type of cancer is more deadly than a lot of others.

Holly, I wish you well.

PICT0013_1_0.jpg I will definitely keep Holly in my prayers. Hopefully, the doctors can get in there and catch it early before it gets worse. I will be hoping for the best for her. Give her a hug from me and tell her I am thinking about her when you see her tomorrow.

Hugs,

Jen

Like several writers here, I've been helped by Holly who also set up the Bike archive. It is my hope that Holly is going to be around for many years to come correcting my and other writer's grammatical oversights.

Get well soon, dear friend.

All my best wishes for my friend.

Holly, we've communicated so many times, although not so much recently, and I had the added treat of actually meeting you at the Southern Comfort Conference in Atlanta, a couple of years ago. I hope and pray that all has gone well with your surgery and that your recovery will be smooth and complete.

I also send along my best wishes to Beth, Maggie and Shelley, Holly's housemates and dear friends. Holly is one tough lady and I know she'll come through this and be as fiesty as ever. It's so good that this situation was discovered early and hopefully the surgery will remove all the bad cells, assuring a long and happy life for her.

Big soft hugs to all of you, and healing prayers to Holly.

You're in my prayers

I've known Holly for several years and have helped her move once. She does all my editing, but more than that she is a friend. I don't know where she finds all her energy but I'm glad she has it. My life would have been much darker had I not crossed paths with Holly, Arecee

Holding Her In The Light

I'll be "holding Holly in the Light," as we say in the Quaker tradition. (The Light encompasses the loving principle that we all carry in our heart, the spirit of God, the inner Jesus, the eternal flame, the power and majesty of the universe, or however it appears to you.)
