When Betty comes to pick Karen up from work. She tells Betty about the two guys that had stopped in and questioned her. As Karen was talking to Betty. She notices that Betty kept glancing in the rearview mirror.

“Are we being followed?” Karen glances back to see if she could spot who they were.

“Yes, we are. Let’s have a little fun with them.” Betty speeds up and does a little weaving in and out of traffic.

I was seven years old when my life turned into the proverbial mother of all train wrecks. The date was December 19, 2008.

Traps aren't the only things that can be well-laid.

Cassandra's abilities in magic almost perfectly matched her business acumen, being mostly in the realm of organizing and running everything.

Tanisha's abilities were very much in the natural realm, primarily to do with plants, but she also had a fair knowledge of genetics. She put that to use once they had brought the seven vehicles to the new town and they had set up personal tents to give them a sense of privacy.

If I were to sum my life down to a single word, I would be hard pressed to pick anything other than ironic. I remember things I did not do, and remember other things that most would call me insane in claiming. Yet the fact remains that I am something I wasn't, nor could be and how I came to be who and what I am is a tale already told. Which, should you be reading this, you have doubtlessly read already.

This publication is an ongoing continuation of the story by Reuxin called "Suhara of Curses". It picks up immediately after the events of the last chapter of Reuxin's story, and uses their world and characters, along with some world building I've done. I woke with my arms shackled over my head to a large steel conductor. The weight of my body wrenched them down, and ached with every movement. Whatever Dr. Vortex had planned was going to be worse than the BDSM nightmare I found myself.

Through the uneven panels of corrugated iron I could make the slivers of his coat as he moved between workstations. He moved in slow motion as though trudging through a swamp; or maybe it was the haze looming from above.

Taran get's a warning from a fortune teller.
