Thank you for sharing this wonderfull novel set in the Normandy of World War 2. It shows the humanity and also inhumanity on all sides of an armed conflict. You have beautifully captured the emotional turmoil of our heroine. And it goes to show that often those deemed by society to be cowards have more courage and a bigger long term impact, than those that are supposedly the courageous heros or fighters.
