It's time to do some spelunking in some caves. We finally have the confrontation with Draknor. This is one of the longer chapters that I have written, so are the next two chapters. We get to find out why Ruald's and Draknor's plans didn't work over the next several chapters. This has been hinted at since the beginning in Chapter 1.
I'm not going to say much here. Some questions will get answered in this chapter. But new ones will come to your mind. I will say this, it is a teaching chapter. Some of this is what I learned while growing up, going to school and being involved in Boy Scouts.

Chapter 17 is posted. Finally we get to some action in this chapter. I hope you like it. There is the re-match between Evrat and Hikaru as hinted and promised earlier in the story here. Richard does explain himself why he wanted to go against four knights in this self-defense demonstration match. As stated in this chapter, this is to make sure the Outside Helpers know how to defend themselves if they have to. The Regional meeting does take place towards the end of the chapter.
In this chapter we get to see the process how someone becomes a master wizard or master sorceress. Then we hear the suggestions and which island will do to solve the sickness problem. The idea of regional meetings greatly expanded quickly. I had to do some penciling and figuring out the time differentials to make it work for a long day.
I assure you, the action and drama will pick up in the next set of chapters.
I'm sorry for the late add. My PC developed a bug. I was told first it was a hardware issue. Then a software issue. They said it worked fine for 24 hours without self shutting off. They used MS Security Essentials free download. They said they download it onto my PC. They didn't. So, I download it myself. I hope it works. I also bought a new UPS device. That should smooth the spikes from our frequent lightning storms here in Florida.
I posted Chapter 13. We have the introduction of Eingana, the Mother of all Sea Dragons. We'll see her again later in Book 1 and in Book 2.
I also updated the Character List as well. This includes Eingana and some other sea dragon names that we will see later. I also included the SRU Wizard as well.
I tried to bring some emotion into this chapter when the people see the ship wreckage and the skeletons of the sea dragons seen near the island for the first time.
I have introduced the Wizard from the SRU universe here. You will see him again in the next chapter and in Book 2. I know this includes a lot of elements from his universe.
I have the Wizard and Anya (Bikini Beach) as the last true Master Wizard and Master Sorceress on Earth. They keep a vigilant eye on the events on Earth. They know there are bad people seeking the ancient magic to do evil with it. They make sure the magic doesn't get abused.
Now the Inquiry is over with and Ruald is caught. That includes the others who are sick. Everyone has a great noon repast to celebrate it properly.
Now we are shifting focus to other events such as finding the sea dragons and finding a solution for the Maranelle Islands Kingdom. Along the way, some more discoveries are made. There is the still the encounter with Draknor and King Thranton to be resolved and the implications that are discovered there.
In this chapter I created eleven new worlds for your imagination to run wild with. Use Google Sky to find their location. Use the website address that I gave in the last blog to see the other stellar names. There is one star system that is not in Google Sky. Which one is it? However, there is a clue in the name itself to which constellation I'm talking about. It is Tek's home world. Google search Tek's star system by name. Then guess which constellation it is referring to.
I need some help. In chapter 10 I will mention six unicorn names. These six are paired up. When they come to Twainor from Earth, they give birth to a mare and colt each.
I know this is early. I'm getting your imaginations revved up here.
The others are paired up already. Avel and Makaela, Einhorn and Athena, Silverwind and Star Dancer. They have colts and mares. The first six unicorns each have a human soul and spirit, that will be explained in Book 2 for their backgrounds. Also the other six will have human souls and spirits as well.
I posted the next two chapters. These are short chapters and go together. These two events are happening at the same time before the ceremonies begin. This will help tie up the loose ends from the previous chapters. Then the sequence will be straight forward.
I posted Chapter 5 and the Character List for Books 1 and 2. In the Character List I provide the answer why I chose the year 2098 and the month of May. There is a lot of information there to go over. Mount Blanc is a fictional place. Charlottesville doesn't exist in NC, but in Virginia. I have Charlottesville near Charlotte, NC.
You can use Google Sky to find the star systems I came up with. There is a pattern to them. There is a pattern as well for the three colors for each Kingdom. However, I have not done the colors for the dwarf kingdoms yet.
Here is the fourth chapter. I am also going to post a separate file for the List of Characters. It will have all of the characters for Books 1 and 2. There will be some chapters that I will post that will not have the characters listed with the chapter. That list will get longer and longer if I do that. The main list will be modified as needed.
I posted the second chapter for the Omega Unicorn Chronicles. I'm setting up another problem to be solved. I'm also exploring more of Richard's background in this chapter. He talks about two more stories in his life that defines some of his emotions.
The first story is with his brothers, Chapter 1. That has been resolved, but it will be told again in a later chapter for a certain point to be made.
This is a call to those who like to proof read stories. The first book is written of the series The Omega Unicorn Chronicles. I couldn't use the title The Last Unicorn, because there is already a book with that title. Book One is 30 chapters long. Book Two has 31 chapters and still counting. The Third Book is going to wait until Book Two is done. The Rescue Mission will be re-written to reflect books one and two better. I suggest reading the story first before taking it apart. There are rabbit trails and mysteries along the way.

Well, I was given a big shock today. This coming Friday will be my last day at a company where I have worked for 14 years. Basically, it is the economy. Being single. Less money coming into the company, etc, etc. I was told I will receive a full month's pay check at the end of the month. Then another week into November.
The news about my dad. I drove home for two nights on the 9th and 10th this month to see him. He had blood clots developed in his legs the previous week. He was operated and the swelling went down by the 13th. He was very chipper and in good spirits at the time. He said he wanted to live another 5 to 10 years. However, he has to do what the doctors tell him to do. Drink plenty of water, eat right and exercise. Well, he didn't do that. Now he had a relapse and lost some more strength. I talked to him briefly last Saturday. I told him I love him very much.
I received another call from my brother. My mom is now spending every night in the hospital. He will not be coming out for Christmas. He has a good chance for a turn around, but he needs to walk around to get his body moving. This is needed to get bodily functions moving normally. There is fluid build up in the lungs. Pneumonia has not set in yet. They are going to try to find the next blockage.
Well I just received a call from my brother this afternoon (Friday, the 19th). Right now it is wait and see mode. My dad will be let out this Tuesday in time for Christmas. They want to make sure he is regaining his strength before he is released. They will do the biopsy on the liver before he is released.
They have to analyze it to determine what type it is first. We won't know that answer for a week. So, I will be down there from Christmas to New Years. I won't have access to a computer during that time. My parents refused to get involved in that.
