I have tried many things over the years to get a little extra life for a breast form once I have inevitably gotten a cut in the protective film. As I do sleep in the forms this will happen.

Usually I get close to two years before it does though.

My latest ones only went about a year.

It was 6 years ago yesterday that I first joined the Big Closet community, so I think it's sensible to look back a bit.

I have not always been the most active of people, in fact after posting my first story, I was quiet for a long time.

Several years ago, I got back into and was quite active, and then over the past year or so, work requirements have really taken their toll on my free time, and so most of my free time is spent with my family. But I'm still on here at least a little bit every day, and keeping an eye on stories that post, and the blogs to keep my toes in.

I know it is off topic, but for any musical theatre fans out there, tonight Wicked! is celebrating an anniversary, and after the performance they are webcasting a special Encore with the whole cast performing in concert mode, a song that was voted on by fans.

I was thinking tonight of a short story I read once, about a post op young woman, dressing as masculine as she can, wearing a cap to sit and watch a game with her Dad, to give him one last gift from his "son."

It was a sentimental story, but I can't for the life of me remember the title, and I would like to read it again.

Seeing the entry in the list this morning for Bike 1491, it occurred to me how eeire that it would have been, if the 1492 entry had fallen on Monday, which is the day we celebrate Columbus day here in the states.

Max, FanficWriter (my wife) and I were spending a few days in Washington, DC this week.

This morning, we were packing up to come home. I had decided, that I did not need to pack my bra and breast forms until we were all ready to go.

So everything was packed, we had been making the final rounds, checking all the drawers etc...

I asked my wife if there was anything else, and then hugged her. It was as I began to hug her, she suddenly noticed my breasts... and started to say, "You.."

I said, "Just wanted to wait as long as I could on that... But, you just noticed?"

If you have read my prior blogs on my home life, you know that I am blessed with a wife and son that accept me for who I am.

My wife has mentioned a couple of times recently that the one thing that bothers her is that she is isolated, when it comes to the topic of my being TG.

My wife is not a very social person to begin with. She simply doesn't enjoy social settings, dreads any such gathering, even though she usually has a good time in the end. As a result, she doesn't have any close friends, at least not in real life.

I haven't been around much of late. I do continue to check in to see what is being posted, and occassionaly comment when I can, but work has had me traveling and insanely busy this year.

There have been some good changes though.

My wife and I have both been on diets since January. I'm down 40 pounds, and she is down over 30 pounds. It's interesting as we are both doing totaly seperate diets, she is on Nutra-System, and I'm doing a low-carb approach. But they are working well.

I know this has nothing to do with tg topics, but I wanted to share this any way.

Last Wed night, my parents, my wife, my son and I went to see the new production of Les Miserables, it is currently at the Papermill Playhouse in Millburn, NJ thru this next week, and then continuing on tour thru the US. I believe the next stop is in Philadelphia.

My son had come to enjoy the music from the 10th anniversary concert, but had never had the opportunity to see the show, he was enthralled, it was great to share this with him.

Well as of this morning, BCTS tells me I have been a member for 4 years and 52 weeks... Which I translate as meaning that today is my 5th anniversary of being a member here. My first story, "Two Roads" was posted on 12/4/2005, so perhaps that is the real anniversary date.

Last night, my son, Max admitted to knowing that the "white boxes in my closet were fake breasts."

Back in March, I knew he had found the boxes -

Well, I went to put on my forms last night, and one of them has decided it was time to develop a tear in the form. I've temporarily used a tip from the The Breast Form FAQ 4.0 at http://www.blooberry.com/bformfaq/index.html using the adhesive parts of band-aids, but I'm quite sure that is a temporary fix.

Unfortunately when I went to the site I have bought them many times before "www.4transgenders.com" and they are no longer there. It comes up to a search site that is definitely not what I was looking for.

Can anyone recommend a reputable site I can use to replace them?

Last Wednesday was my 45th birthday.

At 12:30 in the morning, after saying goodbye in the chat room, I went into my closet to get my breast forms, and I grabbed a form that was wrapped in plastic wrap. I looked at it and said, "what?" and the light bulb caption above my head turned on as I realized these were my old forms, they had developed a leak and I had wrapped them in plastic whilst waiting for the replacements, and had not thrown them out.

Big Finish Audio is looking for submissions of short stories, under 2500 words to include on new audio books, to be read by professional actor/actresses.

These stories have to feature Dr's 1 - 8.

In reading some responses to Bike 883 the subject of cross-dressers, and motivation came up. From my perspective the exchange was more then a little dismissive of Cross dressers. I am posting this as a blog, because I don't want to hijack the comments on Anghard's story.

For example Kimmie responded:

... because I seriously doubt that Annette's acquaintance's wearing of men's attire has anything to do with her wanting to express her 'masculine' side. The latter has been in general the proffered motivation for at least a portion of CDs.

We are now about 1/2 way through the time alloted to the November Gift challange, and as of the last I counted there are 15 stories.

If you haven't read them, I strongly urge you all to go out and check them out. There are quite a few that are exceptional.

Some will make you laugh, others will make you cry, some will get you mad... in short the full gammut of emotion is to be found there...

It doesn't really matter to anyone but me, I know, but the first story I ever posted to BCTS, Two Roads finally hit 1000 reads/hits today.

My parents were visiting this weekend to attend my son's eighth grade graduation ceremony, and my son and my nephew left this morning to spend the next four weeks of the summer with them.

My son, Max (not his real name), will be starting at the high school next year.

It's amazing this hasn't happened before. Today in search of the perfect sale, 2000 people in line at a Walmart in Queens pushed and broke open a door that an employee was trying to open.

I know it doesn't mean much to anyone else, but wow, who'd a thunk it.

Sorry about the delays since the last chapter for Jason's Story.

I have to say that there is a reason why my wife and I were able to celebrate our 21st anniversary last evening.

I don't know if this is appropriate for blogging here, but I'm going to anyway.

If you use Wendy's you really have to watch how they charge you for what you order.

For example, let's say you ask for a double, they will automatically enter a double with cheese, asking you if you want cheese. If you say No they will add No Cheese as an attribute, and you will be charged $4.29.
