Hi to all. As you have most likely noticed, due to the lack of comments or e-mails, I have been gone for a few months. I see from checking on a few stories, that I have a LOT of reading to catch up on. I have been very busy these past few months taking care of my Mother (87) and assisting my Sister, as her husband was dealing with bladder cancer. Finally, after many treatments, he is considered at this moment in time free of cancer. Did you know, that bladder cancer is treated by injecting TB cells into the bladder?

My prayers that you all are safe in all these major storms
Hi all, I just wanted to take this moment to say I pray that you all are safe during these major storms rocking across the Midwest, Southwest, the South, Southeast and Eastern seaboard of the US. My heart goes out to Arkansas, where that State has had approx 20 persons killed, and millions and millions of dollars in damage done. Altho we see large storms this time of year; these have been majorily bad in all aspects. Take care and stay safe. Jan
So there I was, minding my own business when "Blam"
So there I was, minding my own business back in March, when "Blam" out of the blue I got hit by several back to back severe episodes of Menieres. If you don't know what Menieres is, I will try to explain it. Frist let me say, the Doctors all state the following: "Don't know what causes it", "Don't know how to cure it", "Just know it is progressive." The progressive part is that a person with Menieres eventually goes DEAF in the affected ear.
There is a WHAT up there?
This is a true halloween story that happened to me and my family the first halloween after we arrived in England in 1953.
We were living in Cambridge, in a house that had been built in 1863, per the date etched into a stone, above the front door on the second floor. The house was a three story house, and did indeed look old.
Non-TG Girls made to be Boys
Today I read a most interesting article that appeared in the New York Times on-line paper.
My Wife passed on this morning.
Sadly, I must inform everyone that my wife Nancy, ended her 1 year, 7 mo struggle with lung cancer this morning, 31 Jul 2010 at 0730 hrs. She passed peacefully in her sleep which is all I hoped for. Her goal after being informed of having the cancer was to live long enough to see our youngest grandson, Deacon (age 3 on 1 Aug 10); get on his first school bus, because she had put all our other grandchildren on theirs.
A Merry Christmas wish to all.
I want to send to each and everyone of our fabulous authors and to all the readers, such as I, a wish for everyone to have a marvelous and very Merry Christmas, followed by a Happy New Year. For all of those who may not celebrate Christmas, but do have their own holiday(s) to celebrate during this time of the year, May YOU also realize your dreams in soon to be New Year.
A very big Hug to each and everyone of you. Janice Lynn Miller
Just a comment about the 4 officers killed in Parkland, WA
Hi all,
I realize this is not really related to Big Closet/Top Shelf stories, but I had to write it out, just to clear my mind of the tragedy.
This is my first attempt at a blog ever, so I will be brief.
As I knew two of the officers very well; I was, to say the least, astonished and am totally in grief about it.
The woman officer and the Sgt were the two I knew, as they used to come to my jail to pick up prisoners we had for them. I wish many condolences to their families and I do know that they are in a much better and peaceful place now.
