It's been a while since I posted my first back burner stories blog. Since then, some stories have been finished, and others have been added to the back burner. Here's a few of those new stories I'm currently working on. :)

Better Than Living in a Box

I just had a bit of a scene pop up in my head where someone was explaining how humans are the results of crossbreeding between elves and dwarves, and what we usually consider masculine or feminine are actually expressions of our dwarven and elfin natures. I really like the idea and it feels like an important part in the middle of a story, but I'm at a loss as to what the beginning or end might be. Any suggestions?

In case you're wondering, this is a post about drabbles, not magic. ^.~ After posting my last drabble, I had looked through my stories and realized there were enough 100-word stories to make a collection. So, to make it easier for anyone who likes one of my drabbles to find the others (and to appease my obsessive need to organize things >.< ), I've created a new heading called Heather Rose's Drabbles, and placed the following stories under that heading:

I'd recently been trying to create a new blog while looking at an old blog, and I'd accidently deleted the old blog. I really liked the old blog and the responses I'd gotten to it, so I decided to create a new blog entry with the contents of the old blog. Wish me luck!

Hi everyone! I'm working on a story called Square Dance Stand In, but there's a couple of snags I've run into.

I am so tired, but I can't sleep. I feel like there's a weight on top of me. Every breath I take seems to be harder to draw in. The weight on my chest seems to just get heavier. Part of me just wants to give up and not struggle any more. But ... I can't give up hope. Not yet.

Just wanted to let everyone know the little button on the left side of the main screen that says, "Eve's Apple" will lead you to a sexy transgenerific lesbian romance comedy ... with crossdressing zombies!

Lately, when I've been writing stories, I've been feeling a little ... lost.

This morning I woke with a story rolling around in my head that wouldn't let me go back to sleep until I wrote it down. I eventually posted it on the Fictioneer site under the name The Story. I know that may sound like a bit of a lame story title, but it kinda fit with the theme, and it was the best I could think of at what-am-I-doing-up-this-early am. It's basically a story about stories, and how they relate to reality.

I can hardly believe it. In just a few hours, I'm going to be getting married!

It's almost 4am on Monday December 3rd, 2007. I just woke of from a strange, bittersweet dream.

It's 2 a.m. and I still can't sleep. Someone I care about is very ill and may be dying and I don't know what to do. Some may say that she's just a cat. To me she's more than that. I love her and can't stand the thought of losing her.

Yes, it's true! I really have written a number of stories without (as far as I can tell) any transgender elements. So far, I've only posted a couple of them online. One of them is called A Tree's Story. The actual title is 'In the Beginning - A Tree's Story', but the site where I posted it (deviantART) won't let post titles that long. I also created an audio book version of this story at a website called Internet Archive and the cover art for this story, as seen below.

Recently, I've been reading lots of Maddy Bell's Gaby series. Having been born and raised in the US, there were a few words that kinda went over my head. This blog entry is about a neat resource I found and a silly ditty I made up using a couple of my newfound words. ^.~

Pretty much since I started writing TG fiction, one thing I've tried to avoid is including anything sexual. This was for a number of reasons. For one thing, there seemed to be a lot of such stories already out there. Another reason was ... well, I just wasn't interested in writing them. Lately, I've been thinking of trying to do something that had a bit more ... I guess intimacy.

Hiya everyone! I've been trying to create an audio-book version of my story, Shoes. I've been using a program called Record Producer by Voyetra. I've got the whole story recorded in .rpp format, but for some reason, the program won't save it as a .wav or any other format most people can use. Is there anyone out there who knows how to turn convert my recording into something a bit more useful?

Recently, my unpredictable muse presented me with an interesting concept for an action/adventure type story. I came up with a really neat title image, got a first scene, then ... nothing. Well, not actually nothing. I do have a feel for where the story might go and a vague idea of whodunnit, but no real story. I'm hoping someone else might see what I have so far and maybe have some suggestions on how to get from here to the end of the story. Here's to hoping!
