Tomorrow will be ten years since Holly Hart passed away. It still feels strange to me that Holly is gone. They say time heals all wounds but I’ve found that when people pass they leave a hole commensurate in size with the role they played in your life. That hole doesn’t ever go away, it just becomes part of the landscape - a monument in a sense. And as you traverse its circumference you feel the loss and hopefully remember the joy as well.
Ok here's the first 3 chapters. It's not scifi, so it may very well not be your cup of tea. And if it isn't or it's just plain awful just say so. I won't take it personally.

I don't know how you're supposed to ask a stranger to commit at least a year of their life to helping you write a novel, for free. That's how I did it. I don't know if this is a good way to go about it, all I can say is this is how I asked Holly Hart, and for some reason she said yes.

So I'm gonna take a victory lap. Novel accomplished. Never doing that again. Story over. Thanks for reading. I hope you liked it. If anyone else wants to rewrite it, continue it, ignore it, etc, have at it.
I use a lot of different editors depending on the job I'm doing. While I went through a number of writing tools, my main squeeze is, and has been for quite some time, Scrivener. Nothing is perfect, but this is as close as I've seen for writing long form fiction. I can't say I use it for anything else, but it nails writing novels. If you haven't been using Scrivener, you should try it.
Just handed off Being Christina Chase chapter 53 to my esteemed editor Holly. Man, everything takes longer than you think it does, but it's just about done. I have one final chapter to bang out and we're off to the races.
Hey folks. Just a heads up. I'm not super terrific great about sharing information on the fate of one of the least popular stories on the site, so I'm trying to be a little bit better about it.
Seriously, how cool is that? I mean, it's one thing to hear characters talking in your head, but it's a whole other thing to hear them talking in someone else's head.
That's a heck of a compliment. And in case anyone was wondering, I think its awesome. No one needs my permission to write anything.
It's possible that you saw that chapter 45 of Being Christina Chase was posted today. This was a mistake. If you read the story, I apologize. It should have never gone up. It is not ready for public consumption.
So, I'm having a crappy day. As many of you may or may not know or care, I've been hard at work finishing off Being Christina Chase to please my three fans, even though two of them have given up all hope that the story will ever be finished.

Howdy folks. I've been under the weather all week. That is to say, weather's been over me. I've been sick. Get it? Geeze.
Anywho, I will try to get the next chapter of Being Christina Chase up by tomorrow night, but I can't promise I'll get it in on time. It might come later in the weekend.

So, to my three fans, I'm posting a warning note, and this is not a Halloween joke. I'm currently having some technical difficulties on a number of fronts.
So as some of you may have noticed, Chapter 30 of Being Christina Chase was posted briefly yesterday, and then it disappeared. So basically, what went up accidentally yesterday was not the final draft of the chapter. I had in fact been making edits to the chapter yesterday afternoon to incorporate Holly Logan's changes and my own last minute brain aneurysms.
So it was roughly six months ago when I first started posting Being Christina Chase, and the response has been pretty good. The story is slowly creeping up in the all time popular content list, and I get a good number of hits on every chapter. All in all, I have to think I'm doing pretty well for a first time writer. That said, Holly has done a great job of cleaning my stuff up.
So, I finally got around to posting chapter seven of Being Christina Chase, though a few days late. Even though this chapter has essentially been in the bag for probably a year or so, I made some last minute changes due to Holly Logan's invaluable feedback. It would have been on time had I not recently fallen irrationally and hopelessly in love and that I'd been traveling all weekend.
I just queued up the next chapter in my self-indulgent, crappy story for a Friday morning release and it got me to thinking about all the helper monkey software that I use.
Chapter three of Being Christina Chase should be up. It's the first chapter that has any TG content. I talked it over with Holly, and she seems to think I sold the premise. Which is good, cause I went through a lot of trouble, and if you don't buy it, well, then I guess you just won't like the story too much. I think I've done a decent job of allowing the premise to happen. I buy the execution, though I'm not a crossdresser, nor am I transgendered. People are either going to take the leap with me or not at this point. I hope people like it. But, if they don't, well I dunno.
One thing that really burns my biscuits is Circumstantial Exposition. This is my name for when a sloppy writer wants his characters to act in a way that makes absolutely no sense, and they just drop in an explanation right along with the offending behavior.

And then, Billy decided to get into the car with the stranger. Did I mention that Billy was extremely trustful of strangers? Well he is. Cause he was raised in an orphanage in Ecuador where he lived with deaf mute monks. Since he couldn't speak with them, they were like strangers.
So the first chapter of "Being Christina Chase" is posted. I'm not sure what the response is going to be considering that it's a chapter of a novel as opposed to a self-contained story. Also, it's pretty damned long, and there's no tg content to speak of. Not that there won't be any tg content, just not in the first chapter. I hope people like it; I know I sure as hell wouldn't read anything that long, But I digress...
