In looking around for something to write about, an old story idea of mine surfaced, so I went looking for it.

It was a surprise to me that I had published part of a story that has been mouldering in the basement of my hard drive since 2008. If I remember correctly, this was an extremely low time for me, still living in a bed bug infested apartment with little hope of things getting better.

The partial story is "Houston, We Have A Problem". If I follow my own plans, I will delete this partial story and post the first chapter in its place relatively soon.

I do not remember posting it, nor writing as much of it as I did. It surprised me that part of it is quite Pornographic and I am not sure that I wish to leave those scenes in it. For someone as starchy as I am, how did I write this?

Defining the P word

Unfortunately, Porn is an extremely subjective label: almost everyone on the planet has a different idea of what they mean by the word.

"I know it when I see it" is not helpful at all in this case.

When you wrote your story you probably didn't consider it to be porn at all. On the other hand, there are very many who would consider this whole site to be nothing but a cesspit of porn and want to see it closed down or blocked off. Those of us with more brain cells than fingers know better.

Edit your story and republish it, Gwen. the more mature you may produce a better tale than the younger one did, who knows?

Penny

what do you think

I have known some that say describing an exposed breast is porn and others thinking that gang sex is the way to wright a sex seen. For me it matters more if will it add to the story or is it just filler. Can the same thought's be conveyed by less description and more innuendo.
In the end it is your story write what you think is best.

Porn, like beauty is in the eye............

I totally agree with Penny, in my stories I can go into graphic details I hope not to fill in, but to
explain. But as long as it's tagged as such I feel it's ok.

But in some stories I use innuendo and suggestion, but will go into some graphic detail, again
if I think it needs it

If you don't like submitting something a bit raunchy then go through it again and alter the pieces
that you are not comfortable with. You have to be comfortable with what you write.

The say with age comes wisdom! Not that I am inferring that you are old.

Porn

If we were to define porn as something to stimulate the body for masturbation, then every newspaper in the country publishes porn on a regular basis.

Every writer has stretched the boundaries

We look at a beautiful woman, handsome man and depending on our preference did we ever wonder what it would be like? No? Liar! Doesn't mean we acted on the thoughts running through our mind. It meant we were human. Story writers are like that. Did the voyeurism make it from our mind, down to our fingers, and onto print?

If it did make it to save, what did we do with it afterwards? Turn it lose into the wild and pretend it wasn't me that wrote that? Or hide it way back inside the HD or jump drive? Wonder how many in NSA had to go take a cold shower after reading what was on the computers they hacked?

How often does one's alter ego come out and take over the writing task? Would a person really do...,

No I didn't write that. That wasn't me. You can't prove it was me. I don't know how that got on my computer. I need a lawyer? I'm too ashamed to call a lawyer. Put me away. I'm a bad girl! A trial! The whole world will know. We can't have a trial. I'll tell you where some more of those stories are if you promise there won't be a trial. Good. We have an agreement then?

In the jar buried in the back yard is a jump drive. Have a fire extinguisher ready for your computer. Might want a garden hose over your head too.

The Porn Scene

I think I will remove the Blow Job because it makes the relationship between he and his charge romantic. In the story, I want him to be the protector, not the lover.

Though I do not remember writing that sequence, in looking back I can easily see my having written it because of the head space I was in at the time, being totally bereft, alone, and willing to do absolutely anything to have someone affectionate and loving in my life.

Back to work. :)
