The overall article is interesting, but page 3 has my favorite listing: Jeph Jacques.

Anyone who has spent five minutes talking or messaging me in any non-writing capacity will immediately learn just how much I idolize Jeph and absolutely adore his webcomic Questionable Content, in my opinion one of the best things ever made. For years he's been very LGBT friendly, but a couple of years ago he introduced his first Trans character, Claire, to the comic. No, she's not one of the major characters, but in my opinion she is one of the best trans characters in comics. Why? Because her being trans has NEVER been a focus of her character. There are a lot of things Claire does or features she has that are used for comedic effect, like her love for terrible puns or her general geekiness, but none of those comedic elements are taken from or play off of her trans nature. Much like his treatment of most anything involving gender or sexuality it isn't used as a crutch to build the character around, but just one of many elements that make her who she is, and I love it so.

Anyway, I saw his tweet about being happy to be included in the above list, so I figured I'd share! Does anyone else have any comments or particular fondness for any of the other people listed as allies? If so, share your feelings here! Let's spread the love.

thanks Melanie,

somehow i lost the link a few years back, prior to claire's addition, and drifted away from web comics.

I love the T-shirts Jeph does (or used to do), i even bought the rainbow one with LGBTerrific on front, have had a LOT of fun wearing that one, especially when i have to explain what it means, (i love living in a small country australian town lol)

Snippy Bitch ?

Especially in the last three years, when out in public, I don't say I am anything but a Woman. The major focus on my life is helping others, and my writing. That is just the way it is for me. No accommodation, no apologies.

I know some T folk who like to dress outrageously and go out and flaunt it. And I have done the same thing but not since about 2006. Today, such an outing would perhaps be fun, but the next day it would be back to writing, biking and helping others. And I won't apologise for my church life. It is so appealing to simply live the life of every other woman in my community

Once in a while, someone will rumble me.
