After my group therapy session, I stopped at a local mall and looked around, including a walk through the bookstore, and I came across a book called "623 stories you can write". I took a peek inside, and it had story titles or questions like "you're an astronaut - describe one day in your life", or "describe the worst Thanksgiving day dinner ever".

I forgot to get the name of the authors, but I'm sure someone could find the book if they were interested in writing but have trouble finding good ideas.

Now, me, IDEAS are not my major problem. Turning those ideas into good stories is ...

I know how you feel

I have too many story ideas, I don't think I'll ever write them all, and more come every day.

Don't take me too seriously. I'm just kitten around. :3

I've given people 192 ideas here myself!

Just go to the forums and look up the Ultimate Writer's Challenge stuff if you're looking for another, TG-oriented free alternative :P

Self promotion ahoy!

Yes, I was going to say

As one who picked up several of Melanie's challenges, I'd recommend doing the same, especially since 99% of them are TG-oriented.

In fact, the story that I'm finishing up now came directly from one of her challenges.

story ideas

I never lack for them at all. Like that one author. I just look around my house and bing! Story idea.

Lately it's another problem I start to write and fall asleep instead.

Too many ideas

I understand what you're feeling. I have written many stories but only 4 was ever finished. I'm not sure when my current stories will finish. But at the same time, I got at least 30 other stories that I wanted to write, but can't, because I don't have the time to write it all. But if I don't write it down, I will forget it. However, even if I do forget it, it will not be much of a loss because I made at least 10 new ideas everyday. I had so many ideas that I extended some of my stories to incorporate my new ideas into my existing stories.

Such a dilemma! I wonder if I can sell my ideas to Stephen King or something. I heard he's been having a problem with starting new books recently.
