What Is Wrong With Homosexuality?

Dr. John Corvino ("The Gay Moralist") frequently gives talks on the religious and moral objections to homosexuality (and thoroughly rebuts them). He gets invited to universities as well as conservative organizations. This is the first time one of his full-length talks (58 minutes) has ever been posted to YouTube. If you're interested in having the arguments to oppose homophobes and transphobes, you might want to watch this. Grab a notepad and pencil first.

Very interesting article :)

Not only worth to read but also thought provoking. The 'new' translation makes a lot more sense not referring to homosexuality.

Thank you Anette for pointing out this article for us.

It's Very Funny

What you didn't mention, Pippa, is that it's also very funny.

Ban nothing. Question everything.

Well, There Is That

He's hilarious, a great writer, and has wonderful comic timing, but it's such a serious subject I thought it best not to emphasize that part.

But, yeah, it's a very entertaining hour, isn't it?

More importantly, though, I feel much better equipped to most righteously win an argument with the next homophobe I run into.

A very interesting and humorous listen

by an engaging speaker. He makes points that I have long made myself, especially about preaching adherence to one aspect of the Bible, while ignoring others within the same book of the Bible.

Thanks for the heads up on this, Pippa, and thanks again for your detective work that enabled me to contact and renew my friendship with my cousin. You is the greatest!

The guys

I work with in the Resource Center Dallas (local LBGT alliance) are the most compassionate decent folk I know. I love working with them. Even before I came out to myself I never thought there was something wrong with being gay though. We are as God made us.

It is the rest of the world I watch my back with.

Science always drives belief

Just a casual read about important people in world history reveals that the gay issue is not the first one to be fought out in the annals of ancient literature, nor is it the most important one.

Genetic research around this issue is poorly funded but one day, if not right now, we will find that these so called deviant behaviors are programmed into our very cells.

Just because someone is gay, lesbian or transgendered does not relieve them of social responsibility. The time is coming when we will have our rights. Let us live those rights out before society in a responsible and moral way.

If, as some believe, there is a supreme ...

... person/thing/deity (let's say Maker for brevity) driving our (=human) development, then just maybe the following might also be 'true':

The world is overpopulated right now .....
Some control of the population is required ....
So Maker increases the instances of non-reproductive pairings ....

*end of supposition*

I wonder just how much gay couples have contributed towards the gross overpopulation of our planet.
