another?

Is there something wrong with huffpost that there's two dead links to there right together like this?

Abigail Drew.

Both links work for me

I suspect a problem with your connection.

Erin

huh.

Huffpost doesn't seem to be communicating with my computer right now. I don't know why. AFAIK nothing ought to be blocking it unless some bright arse moron at AT&T decided it needed to be blocked.

Abigail Drew.

Erin, I have no qualification or tools to...

... find which part of the huff post tries to supply me with virus. And I can't stay on their site long enough to get to contact info to inform them that I'm not amused with their continuing attempts to infect my computer.
If you like that site and can visit it without getting virus, could you please inform them of the problem?
Cause I will not attempt visiting them until I'm sure that they take safety of readers' computers more seriously then getting couple of bucks from virus distribution partner program.

You just have good antivirus.

Lately huffington distributes troyan programs. Maybe it's advertisers, but it does not help. Troyan is still troyan. So be grateful to your antivirus, browser or sysadmins that block virus site.

No...

And you're looking for the word "trojan".

But if that were the case, I'd be getting spammed about the file(s) being blocked, not a 400 error for the entire site. A 400 suggests the host is being completely blocked. That would HAVE to be AT&T's doing, nothing on this end, because I am my own network and sysadmin.

It actually quite irritates me when a provider takes it upon themselves to "protect" me like this. Whose place is it for them to block ANY site. If I want to put myself in danger, let me put myself in danger. Either I'm smart enough to get myself out of it, or I deserve the consequences.

That said, I'm not bothered enough to use the workaround and use an anon proxy to access huffpost. Hopefully it resolves itself soon enough, until then, I just don't get to read any huffpost. Not a really big deal.

Abigail Drew.

Kate Bornstein is a much

needed lighthouse to the world. Here's hoping and wishing her a complete and speedy recovery.

And once again viruses from HP or advertisers :-(

This time it forwards me to landing page about browser version :-\
Somehow it bypasses some of Android defences and downloads .apk to my tablet without any questions.
Be careful! Check your computer for viruses after visiting huffington :-(

And yes, if anyone use android device, be careful!

Tis is what virustotal.com says about "flash updater"
https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/7bffbdba36d7fae46a5d067e7...

Today's "browser updater" is newer, much lower detection rate:

So, if you visited huffington lately - check your computer for viruses!!! And then double check with another antivirus!!!

Good luck!
