Hey folks. Just a heads up. I'm not super terrific great about sharing information on the fate of one of the least popular stories on the site, so I'm trying to be a little bit better about it.

I know a handful of people really seemed to like Being Christina Chase. And hey that's awesome. Cause I spent a lot of time writing it. I mean, it's really long. Way too long. But some people liked it except for the fact that it's not done, which it isn't. Well, it's done in my mind anyway. I still have all the notes I sketched out on day one, and you know, that's pretty much it. And it fits on one page, so in a way, it's even better than what you've read, let me tell you.

But like I said some people liked it and I've always planned on finishing it because people took the time to read it and Holly took the time to edit it, and Seph corrected a ton of errors and posted just about all the chapters and even wrote synopses and stuff.

So for those of you that have been wondering why it isn't done, the answer is pretty simple. I haven't had the time. Writing isn't particularly fun and it takes a LOT of time. Way too much time. I used to have a commute so I could easily dedicate at least an hour or two a day to writing because they were hours I couldn't use for anything else. That hasn't been true for a while so there you go. RSI has not made the job any easier.

The trick about focus is chosing what not to do, even if there's lots of things you'd like to do. Honestly writing isn't usually at the top of my list by a long shot. It's been so long since I've had the time to throw at finishing the story that people have taken matters into their own hands (which is pretty cool really).

But anyhoo, like I said, some people like the story, and the thing about focus is that if you don't focus on things, they don't get done. So I decided to use some time off around Christmas to finish the story, then promptly got the flu. It turns out when you get the flu you can't focus on anything. So even though I've burned up all my free time, I'm still focusing on getting the story done.

I'm wrapping up on the rough draft of chapter 52 tonight. It turns out for pacing reasons, I'm going to have to wrap everything up in 54 chapters, but so what? I can have 54 chapters. Sue me. It will still be a little bit before it's ready to be published. There's a process, people, but the wheels are in motion. The raw stuff will go through Holly and all concerned parties to get fixed up and after that's done, I'll start posting the final chapters weekly so I can stick a fork in this thing. And believe me, that will be that. Then you can stop thinking of Being Christina Chase as that story you liked except it was too long and not finished and start thinking of it as that story you liked except for the ending that ruined everything :D

That's it. Just a heads up. Thanks for reading. Sorry the story is so crummy. (I kid, I kid. I don't think I'm a great writer, but I think I did okay for my first story ever). So if you haven't read the story or you don't remember it, start reading it now so you're up to speed when the new ones roll out.

Seriously don't read it. It's like 900 pages if you were to print it out. That's freaking nuts. Boy meets girl, boy loses girl, explosion! You don't need 900 pages for that. Seriously.

If you're looking for something to read right now, I'd say read this. And leave a tasty comment. People like comments.

Well. That's good news SSQUEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

I tried to be all nonchalant about your post, but I can't help it. BCC was and is an awesome, awesome story, and an unbelievable "first effort". Out of all of the unfinished series I wish were finished, this was number 1 on my list.

I understand about the time thing. I think it reflects your desire to do this the right way, and not just throw out one or two hastily pasted chapters together just to say "it's done".

You are highly appreciated, Admiral, and I am spurnutterflipped and whoopydoopy about the concept of seeing your Magnum Opus completed! It even has me making up stupid words, see? And I want you to know - I am so grateful for the chapters you have already written. Such a fine story. I promise to be more reserved and civil in my future commentsYEEEEEHAW!!! **Sigh**

Now you did it!

Well.... Now you made me have to use the One Server Ring!

Being Christina Chase isn't just any story. It's a commitment. A marriage of mind, mentality, and love.

Now... I'm....

...Mini Erin! 1/8th her power and Just as pretty! ^^

You, Admiral Krunch, are hereby decreed to think positive! Be positive! Be true to yourself and live life the way you want it to be instead of dreaming it! On the BCTS Pirate Oath! YArrrrrrrrr!"

YUUUUUUPPPPP!

Erin screaming, "Sephrena!!!! Come back with my damn ring!"

Will the fun never end?...

Thank You

Your update is much appreciated. I'm rooting for your plans to complete the story. I've read the series at least 3 times. I'm so looking forward to how you work things out (I hope) or don't for Christina.

I am glad to hear there are

I am glad to hear there are going to be new parts to Christina Chase. I have read the story a few times and it is one of the greater stories here. Please don't knock your abilities as a writer, you are doing a great job, as to ruining the story, you won't as long as you write what you want.

Admiral Krunch, I think

that you will find that you have more than just two fans/readers.

Good news!

I'm very glad to hear that. It's probably my favorite story on this site, and I'm going to go back and start at the beginning again.

Thanks!

Quality !

After more than ten years looking for stories that could help me before and after my SRS I must have downloaded many may stories or chapters of longer stories. but somehow several of these have been lost in my memory so I need to re-read them with a couple of years intervall. But your story still stands out as some of those that is still very clear in my memory. That must come because the quality of the text. So join me on the list of those that really long for the promised additions. But do not let us all waiting readers stress you, but continue with the good quality.
Greetings

Well, NOW you've done it!

I was having a really bad day until I read your announcement. Now I have something to look forward to!

But I have to wonder, was telling everyone your plans the right thing to do? Because, now everyone will be pestering you to hurry up, and you'll have to send all those reassuring messages back, etc. and that will take time from writing!

I can't speak for all those other myriad fans, but I'm sure looking forward to a continuation of this fine work. An actual conclusion would be like icing on the cake, although sad in its own way.

BTW, in what numbering system can you represent the number of your fans as two? :)

Hugs

Hmmm....

That's a tall order - a tasty comment.

I guess I'll have to make do with a plane ordinary comment, like this one, seeing as you took the time to let us know about that story that's been hanging around your neck so long. I've got one, myself... Only, it's far worse (with far fewer followers) and I don't even have the excuse of it being my first story. *sighs* Life DOES get in the way, and I understand the bit about sick over Christmas... My entire household came down with a variety of ailments (2-3 with thrush, 4 bronchitis, perhaps 1 with flu, etc.) Oy... (Hey, there was a silver lining for me - I managed to take off 15 lbs... Now, to keep it off! But, back to my unscheduled comment.)

Thanks for both the update, and the upcoming ending to the story! However you end it (okay, not all possible endings) will be okay. I can envision several ways it could go... And, suspect you'll take some other path. LOL

Thanks,
Annette

Looking Forward To It!

I came across your work a couple years ago and loved the storyline and your writing! I can't wait to see a conclusion to your story, and I'm sure it'll be nice to have it done! Nothing like having an axe over your neck to finish something! Good luck with finishing up on it, and I know we all can't wait to read it! (Of course then I'm going to have to re-read it for the third time... :-D ) Thanks for the update!!!

from 0.000001 of your "2 remaining fans"

Really, "2 remaining fans"?

"One of the least popular stories on the site"?

Not a "great writer"? Did "okay"?

I would say that you are extremely humble, extremely in denial, and/or extremely into the art of understatement. :)

Thank you for an inspiring, touching tale.

Judging by the number of comments and other high praises you have received for your work, my previous statement might even be an understatement. :) In any case, I'm looking forward to further adventures within the BCC universe.

so after reading a few

so after reading a few comments here I got interested and read all that's available here and I gotta say I NEEEEEEDDD ore of this story!
