Helpful books for writers
Based on my editing experience with BC/TS authors, another useful book is:
English Grammar and Composition by John Warriner
It is only available in book format through Amazon's used book service, but it provides an excellent summary of proper usage in writing.
Yes, there a lots of books to help authors
But while this one is very limited in coverage, it speaks to a large portion of the problems I see in stories I am editing/proofing, and to a few problems in my own writing.
I am currently trying to finish a novel, but have not been happy with it. This showed me quite a few things that will help me works things out.
And to respond to another comment, yes, even the Amazon synopsis helped a bit.
