Does anyone know hairstyles well?
I'm looking for a medium-long length style that is slightly feminine, but could pass for androgynous and would be appropriate for work.
Also what would I would need to ask for such as perm, ect, and about how much will it cost?

I'd say go with a shag. But really, you should find a stylist you trust and explain what your concerns are and ask her advice on how to style it.

What kind of work does it need to be appropriate for? You might need to check your office dress code.

Don't bet on a Shag or a layered look working for everyone. Layers quickly turn frizzy because my hair's so fine (or so says my stylist) and what looked great two weeks ago looks shabby. A shag can have the same effect, and works better with some facial structures than others. So - as I said in my post - as you say, talk to a stylist and work out what you need.

Best suggestion...

Best suggestion I can make is to talk it over with your stylist... Explain what you want and what you need, and ask for suggestions. If you have a good stylist, he/she should have a few ideas that will work with your face and hair (some styles look great with one shape face, but really bad with others. Some seem okay with all.)

Even if someone points to one you really like, it might not be a good one for you. So talk it over.

Best wishes,
Annette
