I met a girl today; one of us, and she seemed quite happy and adjusted working the counter at Safeway, a local grocery store. I told her how thrilled to see one of use being treated decently and with respect. Some of us get none.

It made my day. As I finish this, I will return to my sick bed, wishing that she and all of us of the sisterhood will finally be given the lives we so long for.

She says we will meet later. I wonder

this little paragraph made me

this little paragraph made me register, i agree its our lives we live them. im tired of people degrading us. ive hard a hard life taken away at age 11, put in foster care, being beat for stealing my foster sister clothes. i can go on and on, meds suicide attempts told its wrong in the eyes of god

I don't out myself...

Except today I did. Her happiness drew me; was appealing. I'm guessing she's 6'3", I fit under her arm nicely. It seemed fitting to try to bring comfort and pleasure to her life; to provide an affirmation.

It's getting better for us, believe me.

B'out time too Gwen.

B'out time we Tee-girls got some decent treatment. I'm glad you 'outed' yourself for that girl's benefit Gwen; your action shows that you are becoming more confident and at ease with yourself. I know you pass and well so it was an act of charity for you to expose your secret to her. Well done Gwen I applaud you. Skype you later love. Bev. Hugs XXX

I'm off to a Jubilee Street party now. Bev.

Funny

I had a similar experience. She is a volunteer for GEAR (Gender Education And Resource), part of the Dallas LBGT Resource Center. She was tall, still working on the details, but very feminine. Basically she introduced me to a lot of the basics that can be had in Dallas, things like clothing, make up, wigs (I need that!), whatnot. Very open and pleasant lady. After I finish here I'll be writing a thank you note.

I suspect you will meet again, the fact is we have more in common with each other than family in many cases. I am blessed with a support network much stronger than I knew, but we also have to support each other when we can.
