Hello everyone, and thank you for your concern as to why I haven't finished the rewrite of Homecoming Princess. There are several reasons, one I won't get into because it's personal and the others I will explain. As most of you know I'm writing my Assassin series and am almost finished with it. It's obviously very long and takes much time to research and bring together in a story. Writing a story this long doesn't leave time for a rewrite of princess, nor other stories I have in the works, Twisted being one that comes to mind.
Secondly, I have some health issues which I try to keep private but will share so you know where I'm coming from. About ten years ago my doctor discovered that I had a heart murmur. Over a period of time my heart became very weak and I was unable to have the damaged valve repaired until a year and a half ago. The valve was replaced and everything seemed to be working well, however last September I felt weak again. The diagnosis is congestive heart failure. I went on several drugs to stabilize the situation and had a defibrillator implanted three weeks ago. During this time cancer was discovered in my rectum and I'm to start radiation and chemo next week. Monday I have to have a stone removed from my bladder prior to radiation.
Thirdly, I own my own business. I'm a glazing contractor in the San Francisco bay area and business pretty much sucks in construction but I try to get by. I have to work, and love what I do. Mentally I'm happy as a clam, but fatigue occasionally rears its ugly head because of my heart and I slowdown and take my time. The fact that I'll be Seventy years old in three weeks might have something to with it also.
Anyway, now you know the story. I really don't like to share my personal life, which is why I don't blog very often, and when I do it's about things I hope interest others, and my life really isn't that interesting except to me. Thank you again for your concern, and now I have to get to work trying to sell a job, Arecee

Take your time.

Sorry to hear of your multiple health problems. I'm a bit older than you (71) but suffer merely the effects of old injuries; my health is excellent, fortunately. However, I've slowed down quite a bit and though it is frustrating I appreciate the time for a little reading and contemplation. Your 'Assassin' story is high on my reading list but, whilst I'm eager to read more, I'm happy to wait your convenience. I can appreciate the effort needed to put a story of that length together.

I'm sure it will all be worth the wait. Your personal health is far more important than our amusement. Thank you for all you've done so far.

I too have a heart murmur. I hope and pray that your health returns and you continue to write.

Thanks, Arcee!

I appreciate your work and I hope you get to feeling better soon. Not because I want more stories and updates from you (although I do), but because I hate to hear that you are not feeling at the top of your game. I also want to thank you for not feeling the need to blog on every trivial thing in your life, but do keep us posted on the major things, okay?
