We've got rain here. After two days of sunshine it's back to rain again. It's getting downright soggy. I don't live in any of the mudslide-threatened areas but there have been evacuations and road closings. Even one of the freeways was closed because of boulders loosened by the rain rolling down the mountainsides and into traffic.

I got Cuddles, my little black miniature poodle, a new plush toy for Christmas. She had ripped the old one we played fetch with and it was leaking polyester fiberfill so I got one that was just plush, no stuffing. It's a little black and white skunk about 14 inches long with a squeaker in the head and the end of the tail.

It fascinates the dog. :) She squeaks one end and then the other, over and over and over. Then she makes a noise herself that sounds like a whimper crossed with a giggle. Hoo-huh! Hoo-hoo-hoo! It's so amazingly cute! :) The only problem with the new toy is it's so light and limp, it's hard to throw when we play fetch.

Other than that, I've just stayed inside, dry and warm. I'll be working a few days next week at the bookstore, the morning woman wants a week off to visit relatives in Utah so I'm going to sit at the desk there from 10 till 1 when Daniel comes in.

Happy Holidays!

Hugs,
Erin

White Christmas

Not sure if we got enough before midnight to qualify, but we have snow on the ground with perhaps a bit more to follow. The big deal is this has never happened before. Never ever a White Christmas here in the Midlands of South Carolina. I think the weather service requires one inch on the ground to garner that title. The bad news is Eastern NC, VA and the rest of the East coast is going to get some serious winter weather while we got 'brushed' by the system as it heads north.

Still we had snow on the ground, and our little dog wasted no time bulldozing though it.
Merry Christmas!
Hugs!

My parents left a bit earlier last night then planned, they were supposed to leave from my brothers house this morning (it is about 1.5 hours closer to Florida...) but left from here around 5 last night.

They stopped in Virginia about 11pm, because of the snow, and are on the road again today going slow. I wish they had just decided to stay a few more days, because I for one will be waiting for there "we're home safe and sound" call anxiously all day.

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas!

Erin, keep dry...

Hugs,

Kristy

my dog has one of those

and loves it. alternates playing fetch and tug of war with it. We have had snow off and on, so its a white christmas.

Merry Christmas Erin!!!

[email protected] We've had plenty of the white stuff here in Ohio. More than I can remember in December. Over 2ft. this month! It's snowed all but two days.

I just want to take this opportunity to thank you for all your efforts throughout the year. I just joined the site last summer. I wish I'd done it years ago! I've finally found the family and friends, and Love(Hi Bailey!) that I've been searching for for waaaaaaaaaaay too long.

There's no way that I could ever Thank You enough for what you've given me.

Huge HUGS,
So Much Love,
Jonelle-Elise(Always Bailey's Cuter Half!) ;)
