School is out for the summer.
I have survived the first year of nursing school, and have a B+ average.
I only have one year to go.

While I am in school, I really haven't any time to read. I try to catch up during the summer.

The one draw back of summer time is that my kids are out of school, too. That means I am not free to dress however I want.

Melody, I sympathize with your plight

[email protected] My Mom's partner of seventeen years passed away recently and due to her health, had to move in with me. My brother moved in five years ago after his third divorce left him few other options. The loss of privacy is something that I'm still having trouble coming to grips with.

Be grateful for what you have though. You're improving your lot in life through higher learning, and doing quite well at it, it seems. Plus, now you have time to relax a bit and catch up on your reading. Maybe you could send the kids to camp in order to get some private time? Or possibly their grandparents or other relatives? I'm afraid that just won't work with my brother and mother. Oh well...

Good Luck, and enjoy your summer,

Jonelle.

Yes and No.

Just remember, it's your house, therefore your rules.

Although I run things past my partner before I do them, I made it plain to my younger, stay-at-home son that I was going to do what I wanted in my own house (including modes of attire) and he could either like it or lump it.

I think I expected him to lump it and go, but he seems to have adjusted remarkably well considering. Ah, well, I can't win them all.

You shouldn't have to apologise to anyone for anything you do in your own place. Now neighbours, on the other hand, are another matter...
