Okay, maybe I'm jumping on the 'good news' wagon today.
Yesterday my daughter came back with me to stay here for the first time in almost three years. It's the first time in a year she's stayed anywhere away from the (former) family home.
I spoke nicely to her school yesterday morning and they approved that she could be away from school for one day in order to be with me. They understand the issues. She's back in school on Monday.
Short story is that she's sat in the next room chatting on the phone to a cousin while sending emails between the two of them.
I walked into her room this morning to be greeted by a smile. That makes up for all the pain.
