Does the duckling need a name?

Alistair 2 Zook -13- The Apprentice

I've got one in mind but if someone has a better one, I'm listening. :)

What's in a name?

You'd probably be asking for lawsuits from Disney if you named the apprentice "The Donald."

I might suggest however, that he has the right flavor and color, and the strip has the right spin to name him Quark. ;-)

Naming of the Ducks

My brother was born when I was eight and my parents asked what I'd like to name him. I named him Donald--yes, after the duck, who was my favorite cartoon character. :) His middle initial is D. after Mom's maiden name but all through going up wise-acre kids would ask him if the D stood for Duck. And Don said, "Yes, yes it does," with a perfectly straight face. :)

He used to wear a Donald Duck lapel pin but for a few years replaced it with a Donatello from TMNT.

Quark's not a bad name. :) First or last?

= Give everyone the benefit of the doubt because certainty is a fragile thing that can be shattered by one overlooked fact.

Talks like a...

Just found a bit of etymology that reinforces the name Quark. The word quark comes from the standard English verb quark, meaning “to caw, croak,” (http://www.bartleby.com/61/67/Q0016700.html), which allows both the voice of the bird and the frog. And all via our punster hero, James Joyce.

I'm uncertain as to first or last name, so perhaps the other name, be it first or last, but just on principle, should be Heisenberg. ;-)

I'm afraid it's getting silly out, whether or not.

The Amelia Principle

Anything about Werner Heisenberg is uncertain.

He must have had a strange wedding night.

Bad, bad, bad physics joke or attempt there at. I'm uncertain.

John in Wauwatosa or not as the attempt to measure it at the subatomic level is impossible.

P.S. How about Peaches II, Peaches in Regalia? I just love Frank Zappa -- it's the tittle of an instrumental piece by him.

Duckling Name

Perry King Duck, or P. King Duck for short.

Quarks not bad, it's sounds like a duck sound and references three different sci-fi characters, A Patrick Trouton Doctor Who robot, a TV sci-fi sitcom with Richard Benjamin and DS9's bar owner

I need sleep, that was bad.

Cross between a ...

Well, a cross between a frog and a duck would be, er ... nevermind.

Well, a cross between a duck and a frog would be drog ... or dog.

Aw heck. Just call him Bill, or Billbo Quackins and let it go at that.

More properly he'd be Froggo. Or is the duckling a girl? Waterfoul are not easy to sex by appearance. In some species the male and female are nearly identical; they're not all easy like Mallards.

So she could be Billie Bluebill or Connie Canvasback. Lucile Bill if she a Redheaded. The last name Duck is too Daffy or Donald for comfort. Ms Rebbit Quackentyre? I like the last one, country music fans will be in pain. Polly Pinfeathers?

Have fun,
