Is there really any interest?

In the story I started, "Joby," other than as a curiosity? I'm not complaining, as there was a good amount of hits/votes/comments as compared to other unknowns. I'm just wondering if it wasn't just because it was there, since most of that response was in the first 12 to 14 hours after it was posted.

I liked it!

Couldn't tell you what anyone else may have thought, but I'd like to see more of it.

I'd be interested in seeing

I'd be interested in seeing the story continued.

Me too!

It's sometimes hard for a new user to get a lot of hits and votes, regardless of how good a story they may have. Sometimes you get lucky, like a few authors have, and other times you just gotta work at it.

I've found that keeping up a stable posting schedule keeps readers interested, and comments and votes coming to stories even once they've left the front page. Keep at it, and you'll get to rivaling some of the bigger authors here eventually :P

Interest? Why yes. But

There are so many serials, some evolving nicely, some just started, some never to be finished, and some in limbo indefinitely, the choice is overwhelming. That, and the fact I much prefer stories, however big, in one read, I've become hesitant to embark on yet another serial.

Sometimes I am a little sad I did already find this site almost two years ago, because if I hadn't, and I could find it in, say, five years from now there would've been such an enormous big nice set of completed serials to dig into. What a truly magnificent find that would've been.

But alas. I've found this already, and now the only way I can indulge in my rather gluttonous reading habit with a predilection to complete stories, is by waiting. Sometimes I snoop, sometimes -more often then I'd like- I get hooked, sometimes I can wait.
