Great news, hope all are well and the finances are geting better
Young couples always have it a bit hard at first.
I know my parents did without and got help from my relatives alot and visa versa.
Remember you cannot invest in your children’s future as there is no way legally to get your investment back though if you live on a farm the labors laws are much laxer. Ever since they outlawed slavery and indentured servitude in the US that has been true for us. I should know, I have a Masters in Economics.
Enjoy the little brat, um little angel while you can, eventually they turn into car and sex obsessed teens, move out, start a family and then move back in and NEVER leave home. Don’t knock it, that strategy has worked for millennia.

Parenthood is great! We just need to remember that when we get up at 3:00 to feed and change the little darlings, or when the bigger darlings are late coming from a party. (I haven't experienced that one yet.)
