Well I got home, tired and complete with parent late last night.

It was a tiring trip, some 3000km in total, by road. We had good weather, temperatures reached 38c during Friday's visit to Nuria in Catalonia and we may have just caught the sun a bit!

The trip was my first that far south, first time to Spain, Andorra, to see the Mediterranean. Quite a trip. A return to the area has been added to the bucket list but also it confirmed that i'm not the greatest fan of hot and I wouldn't do the trip in anything less than 3 days by road - 14 hour days on the road are not fun.

I have garnered some new Nena story elements, maybe a new story in vitro, I just need to get computers sorted out so I can get serious writing done!

Anyhow, as i'm back there will be some semblance of normalcy this week, well a Wednesday posting at least. It can't last, on Sunday it's a day trip to some stately pile in the midlands I last visited on a 70's school trip - Blenheim Palace. Then after a hard writing session I'm off on my delayed and curtailed cycling trip around Norfolk.

I really appreciate that you are sharing some of your life with is here. Before I found you on this site I only knew you through Amazon and your old web sites. They were a source of stories but left me wondering about the author that knew all of these fascinating parts of the world, and intimately knew several countries, and the bike racing community.

glad

Nena's back?

I love the Nena stories, They are like riding in the tour bus ourselves. And somehow, Nena is a girl until the clothes change!

Nena had so many fans! There will definitely be more of our girl, I just can't decide which of the story's to write first, I have a handful of trips for her and the Global crew to do.

Yes it was uphill last year at @ 2300m on the way to the 2500m summit of the Timmelsjoch! Rode all the way - with a few breaks to catch my breath of course, that bit was only @ 10%, the steeper bits came later! Hopefully i'll be back to the tan and fitness next year.
